Diving onto the lanes
« on: February 08, 2010, 05:52:15 AM »
Something just irks me about people diving onto the lane like on the PBA charity pro-am. I'm not sure what it is but it rubs me the wrong way..  I'm guessing that they wouldn't do it if they knew there was oil on the lane, and it was going to get all over them, and they were going to maybe fall on their @SS when trying to get up..

Even when Machuga did it I thought it was weird.. I understand he was celebrating his win.. I guess.. but it just seems like an odd thing to do..

anyone else have an opinion about this?

These guys were celebrities just having fun with it....  That said, I think Hines Ward should have waited, because there was still a match to go yet.  But he didn't slide as far down lane as CP did after his victory.....

I do not think it is any different
then the over paid NFL players doing
there weird and unnecessary endzone
antics. NASCAR drivers doing there
burn outs and donuts after a victory.
I liked it as I finally saw PBA pros
loose and having fun.

It is a charity event, and not the TOC.  It's not that serious.

Would you dive out onto the bowling lane if you got a strike, shot a 300, 800, 900, won a tournament, or league championship ???

Yes and no, if you remember he won with that same ball.
