Sunday's show looks to be great
« on: January 07, 2005, 02:40:06 PM »
Norm Duke vs Parker Bohn III

Mika Koivuniemi vs Michael Machuga

I think it's going to be Mika vs Parker in the finals with Parker pulling out a win for title number 30.

I'm pulling for Parker, New Jersey represent.

its even on both sides to start but the left side on tour is not opening up, because not enough lefties to blow a hole open to the left.

You can SEE the patterns aren't the same from the left and right, just go look at pba.com.

pa and lawrence are in the top 7 for points so how can you say they are shutting out lefties. ratio is 1 to 5 so that fits

EXACTLY......you just said it...

Let me say this, if you have to hit an inch or two on the left and 3 or 4 on the right, is it fair???

Damn, I hate defending you lefties B'wick lefty.

i dont think the lefties have to split boards out there and the righties have 5 or six boards. i watched lawrence win and he would loft one drop the next and the list goes on and everthing was dead flush. he even hung up in one and lofted it to the arrows and it faded flush.

I saw four or five leftys in the top 60 or so....I am not gonna argue with stupidity, and it is stupid to say that Bohn isn't any good.  If you and I for that matter were any good, I wouldn't be sitting here at 1pm drinking, I would be bowling in the PBA.

the left side is a mirror image to start on tour when they oil, they just break down different.

My point exactly, but what does this have to do with you saying Parker is no good?  You have made my case for me, that it is more difficult for the lefties.  It is, I watched angelo miss 3 or so boards on tv one day and flush it.  He hit 7 and then 10 on this next ball, both flush.  I have bowled enough tourneys with nonTHS to understand the meaning of opening up the lanes.

parker can definitely play. he is very talented, as i said to get 29 titles he can definitely play, but i just said he struggles in majors. and if you agree that they start out the same being oiled but just breakdown differently, how is the pba shutting out the lefties.

One question:  Have you ever bowled in a house that didn't favor you style?

http://www.pba.com/laneconditions/default.asp?ID=14

This pattern isn't same, left to right.  However, it is only one.

My point is this, the conditions maybe the same left to right, but if the righties are blowing a hole and the lefties can't.  Who has the advantage?

i agree but that is not the pba doing that, its the volume of righties creating that. its the same on a wall, the left will have the wall longer because of less trafic. so you cant say the pba is shutting them out, its just the way they breakdown and sometimes it will breakdown nice on the left on tour.

The show is over. All the bowlers were having a tough time. I see BRUNSWICK pushing the fact that three of the four finalist were using their balls .. I don't think anybody was looking that good .. perhaps it was the balls? Aside from that I did fairly well in my picks .. the only thing I missed was the DUKE match .. MIKA KOIVUNIEMI did a great job to win .. congratulations MIKA!
