Great Show Today

Definitely one of the best so far this year. Nice to see Wes get the title. I was pulling for Kenny but Wes is a really nice guy who hasn't gotten alot of breaks on TV. Love it when it comes down to the last shot. They both bowled awesome.

Mongo,

That's pretty unfair to the women, given how much they averaged on the SAME shot as the men during the week. The women did not bowl in a different center nor on a different pattern. Michele averaged 237 and Missy 230. Not exactly chicken feed on a PBA pattern

Brad was already having troubles in game 2. Wes and Ken had a ton of carry problems in their final match. Given that the women have  much harder time going around carrydown and dry heads, I can't imagine how badly the oil pattern was fubar'd by the time they got to it. Please take that into consideration.

If the women had bowled first, I'd bet the score would have been something like 240 - 220, and then the men's final would have been 200 - 175.

The women's match was over in the 4th frame. Can't blame them.

Well, I agree.  I said something to my wife about it, the women's game came on and the commentators barely said a word about it.  I never thought commentators could have an effect on anything, but I was so bored I about turned it off before I thought about it.  I almost like watching the women better because you don't get to see them as much anymore.

The men's show was solid.  Both of Simard's final matches have been eerily similar.  Bowl well, leave one big split, step up in 10th with a chance, make a good shot, empty handed.

HOWEVER, it fell apart in the women's match.  Pedersen and Stone pretty much checked out and turned it into a joke.  They spend 5 minutes talking about flight times for chrissakes.  Pretty obvious what they think about the women.

FTR, they must have been toasty by the time the women got there.  It looked like the balls were almost checking in the heads.

I was about as bored watching the women's match as the announcers.  3 frames in and it was football time.

Yeah, in both it looked like he couldn't miss in the first match, then got too deep for his own good in the 2nd match on the right lane. Obviously, he knows his own game better than I do, it's just what it looked like.

His last shot was money. Such a bad tap, but it evened out with malott's ring ten.

Last time he went high on the second shot when he needed a double, this time he pured it. Tough break, he'll be back.
