Title: Motiv
Post by: AlonzoHarris on July 15, 2018, 10:51:02 AM
In my opinion, Motiv needs to do some head hunting on the PWBA tour side and find them a woman that'll get their product on TV. I can't think of any of them making a telecast this season?...

Maria Rodriguez. Runner up in Louisville (event 6). But otherwise you are 100000% correct that was the only time so far Motiv has made a telecast. Brunswick not too far ahead but Kuhlkin won the big one with King B.

Having a local pro shop pushing Motiv is a bigger deal than finding PWBA bowlers who will make the show.

Motiv has had a rough couple years, I think they need to focus first on getting their production quality back up, because unless they get back to releasing consistently good equipment, they're not going to attract anyone to sign without throwing a bunch of money at them.

I think Motiv came out with a truly great ball in the Venom Shock, and pretty much all the releases since have been good, solid releases but nothing truly spectacular. They really remind me of the old Track who were releasing solid, okay equipment until the Critical Mass/Nuke kicked them up a notch, then they went back to making regular good old equipment. In short, Motiv just needs a big big hit to get back on the map as t were.

Does anyone have any thoughts on who might be a good Motiv pick from the PWBA?

Not sure on a specific person, but someone that makes telecast but isn't quite the face of their brand like Daria is for 900G or Danielle for Storm. Would need to be like a Sandra Gongora, Shannon Pluhowsky, Erin McCarthy.
