Congrats to the Ladies for a fun Tour. Why was it so short?

I'm not sure why it was so short, but I really enjoyed watching the coverage this summer. Definitely some great bowling by all of them. The next step would be to get them on national TV on a consistent basis instead of just Xtra Frame.

For whatever reason, a lot of the women's events are in the summer. For my wife, it was a godsend since she is a teacher. If the events were during the school year she would never be able to compete.

I believe this was done because a lot of the ladies have commitments in the Fall and Winter. Some are college bowlers going back to school, some are coaches (college and high school) who have to get back to work, others work in the private sector when not bowling and the summer offers the best time for them to use their vacation time to bowl. I doubt you will ever see a full "tour" for the ladies again. It is hard enough to do so for the Men, much less the ladies whose tour had to fold sue to lack of sponsorship dollars in the past. I do think you will this "mini-tour", summer tour, or whatever you want to call it again next year. It might garner more TV coverage on CBS Sports network or ESPN as well, depending on how the ratings look for the events this year.

All are correct here. The concern is that with they didn't want to interfere (as much as they already would) with the ladies' other commitments. Most of the ladies are still in college, or already married with children. A full on tour would definitely impede that. Imagine a Diandra having to miss the bonding time she would have with her children to tour (especially with one of them being newly born). Wash/rinse/repeat for the other ladies.
IIRC, it was this very reason that after that show they did at the Fashion Show Mall in Vegas, Cara Honeychurch retired completely.
They are trying to be respectful of the ladies' time, so that they wouldn't be taken away from other personal commitments they have.

I love the PWBA. The ladies are absolutely great bowlers, along with being great people. I followed every tourney and went to the tournament when it was here in Michigan. I am looking forward to next season already. I hope they come back to the metro Detroit area again as well. I also want to express my congrats to Danielle McEwan, on a great season and her first title.
