Women on TV - Motor City Classic (11/4/07)
« on: November 02, 2007, 12:12:38 PM »
Sunday 11/4/07-

On the PBA website I see the men's show is on ESPN at 1 PM Eastern, but I see nothing about when and where the Women's will be shown. Will it be? If so, when and on what station?

Thanks.

This is off the PBA website Jeff.

"The Round of 32 on the men’s side gets underway at 9 a.m. followed by the Round of 16 and the women’s Round of 8 at 2 p.m. At 7 p.m., the men’s Round of 8 and women’s Round of 4 take place which will determine the six bowlers who will advance to Sunday’s live ESPN-televised finals at 1 p.m. EST. The PBA Women’s Series champion will receive $10,000 while the Denny’s PBA Tour champion will take home $25,000 and an exemption for the 2008-09 season.

Looks like a Women's final on Sun. with the Men....I'm guessing.   Not sure how that's going to work out time wise for a 90 min. show.

I read that. Scott. It doesn't make any sense to me.

I saw the women's finals (on the web site) showing CDB bowling Liz Johnson and 2 other women bowling each other. Maybe the winners of those 2 matches will face each other on Sunday. Not sure how much of that will be shown ALONG WITH 3 men's matches. They usually shove a ton of commercials down out throats, showing one match every 30 minutes. I assume they can squeeze in some highlights of the women's match but that's doing them a disservice, in my opinion. But then the women are glad to have any time to showcase their talents.

I think it will wind up 1 womens match and 3 mens matches.  4 total in all.

It's the men's semi-finals, then the women's finals, then the men's finals.
