COMMENTS
Drilled mine with suggested layout D (max flare) just to see how much we could get this ball going. On the fresh (41' THS on Pro Anvilane) it was impressive how the ball cornered right at the end of the pattern and just how strong but continuous the ball motion was. It was exactly as advertised...a stronger version of both of the earlier Reax balls, but definitely cleaner thru the fronts than the original, and not as angular as the pearl. I said it gave me the predictable shape of a Reax just with more overall hook. All in all, very pleased.
Probably threw 15 shots with it at league last night between practice, a few frames of game 1, and then on the left lane only in game 3 (to get me through the soup that developed on that lane), and it took to lane shine pretty quickly. But it was great when that left lane got tighter down lane and I could still just open up my angles, let it fly, and see it drive through the pins.
If you need a ball that covers a ton of boards but isn't dead sideways in the back end, pick up one of these at the end of October!

I drilled up my Reax version 2 with a double thumb layout from Radical layout suggestion sheet. I am a left hander with a ball speed around 15mph. my rev rate is 250. this ball works great for me on the house shot. it allows me to play deeper inside of the 12Th board.
I'm looking forward to using it on my challenge league long pattern.

Well just drilled up my second Reax version 2. This one has a dual angle layout of 90x2x50.
it works well on a short pattern. I have try it on a 41 ft, house shot. With the longer pattern
I put a 2000 finish on it. this allowed the ball to pick up sooner. This layout allows me to play up the boards with a stronger ball. I love it.

I drilled the V2 pin down and kicked out at a 45. The ball still gets down the lane and stores the energy it needs to continue rolling through the pins once it enters the pocket. I was able to play the ball anywhere on the lanes. This is one versatile monster.

Likes: Strong predictable motion and great hitting power.
Dislikes: Need to stay on top of the moves. Watch the midlane like a hawk. (But that's every asymmetrical ball, really!)

This could be the best ball I've drilled this year. The Reax Version 2 can be stroked up the lane on the fresh and when the head oil gets depleted, you can get left with it and follow it in all night. From what I've seen, there is nowhere too far left with the Reax Version 2 in your hand and I always like that! This ball is a beast. It just keeps hooking and carrying. It's a great ball; strong, yet versatile and able to be read easily.
The Reax Version 2 has gone straight into the number 1 bag in my kit! Keep watching and you'll see why. (Hint - watch the gap between my leg and the ball return closing the whole way through the session and watch how this ball just keeps knocking the pins silly!)

This ball is a monumental upgrade from the previous Reax balls. The only thing comparable about the Reax 2 to the two original Reax balls is the core. This ball is considerably cleaner than both of the Reax balls and so good around the back. It is a solid so it is a smoother shape but probably the most angular solid on the market. The cover is so clean and so strong downlane. It is a truly unique ball.
My layout is 65 x 5.5 x 55 with a p2.

Drilled this ball with motion hole drilling.Ball rolls very smooth with nice predictable back end. Ball keeps the pins low ,and carry is very good. I hit it with 2000 abraon and It was not that early.Ball still cleared heads ok ,and hit hard .I will drill another with a different layout soon .I feel motion hole changes the ball angle into the pins to some degree. It gives you another option in drilling for sure ......

Likes: This ball provides one of the most unique ball reactions on the market. Even though it is a solid, it is incredibly clean through the front part of the lane. In terms of backend, the shape is angular but doesn't fly off the dry. It makes a strong predictable motion. This one is great for when the lanes start to transition and you have to move left when the backend hasn't broken down enough for a pearl.

Dislikes: This one is a little too angular for fresh.

Likes: I really really liked the easy length with this bowling ball. I have a higher rev rate with medium ball speed. This ball made it where I could stand in the middle of the lane and really open it up. As the lanes broke down I just started moving left.
Dislike: If you don't like angular bowling balls this probably won't be your cup of tea
