COMMENTS

Likes: The new Beyond Ridiculous is a revised version of the original Ridiculous in the reliable line. How about the color, everyone knows this ball when it goes down the lane. Believe me, it turns heads.
I drilled mine 50x5x35. It gets down the lane with ease and has a nice flip to it. This is a great ball for house shots. I added a 2000 pad to mine to fit my game in my center. This ball has the same Ridiculous symmetrical scoop core as the other ones.
This will be your benchmark ball along with the Intel.

Dislikes: When there is too much oil.

The Radical Beyond Ridiculous adds a great ball motion to the Radical lineup! Featuring the A130 solid coverstock and symmetrical core with "scoop" technology, the Beyond Ridiculous gets down the lane easily, with a strong back end motion that will leave bowlers salivating. The color scheme alone will have your competition on their heels! I drilled mine 30 x 5" x 65, with a P3 weight hole, and this ball allows me to open up the mid lane while moving inside to retain great hit and carry %. Other symmetrical balls I have used in the past lose carry for me when I play deep, but not the Beyond Ridiculous. I have used it on house shots all the way to the PBA Shark pattern with great success, including a 3rd place tournament finish this past weekend. Order yours today!

Beyond Ridiculous

This ball lives up to its creative name.  Not only does the amazing color give it a cool look going doing the lane, but its strong response to friction gives the bowler an awesome angle of entry into the pocket.  I drilled mine 45 x 5 x 40.  I shot a 300 game my second time using this ball and the look I had on the lane was unbelievable.  I would throw the ball right and was able to open up the lane with plenty of miss area.  As a bowler with higher balls speed and medium rev rate I don’t typically see bowling balls hook hard off the spot, but this ball gave me a look like no other bowling ball I’ve owned before.  With its smooth veneer this ball easily clears the front part of the lane regardless of the traffic created in the front part of the lane, it reads the pattern so well, and then when it hits the friction makes a strong angular move to the pocket.  This ball is literally beyond ridiculous. Long overdue review on a ball that hasn't received the love it deserves.
I drilled my Beyond Ridiculous 60x4.5x30 (pin tall over ring) and as with almost every factory glossed ball, hated it out of the box.  The high rg cover + glossy cover pushed the ball WAY down the lane and retained so much energy that I had trouble controlling my shape down the lane.  Even on burnt lanes it covered too much territory down the lane and was too quick off the friction for me to control the pocket.
A trip to the spinner and a date with a fresh 3k pad changed the world.  I was still getting surprisingly good length through the front, but saw the ball slow down in the midlane and make a strong, yet rounded motion on the backend.  The Beyond Ridiculous has made my tournament bag and has had use on everything from short to long patterns.  The one constant has been the need for the lanes to have a good 3-4 games of wear before I have wanted to use this ball.  The easy length and strong backend matches up to patterns with drier fronts and carrydown, which I unfortunately don't experience enough of in league but can take advantage of in tournament play.

The Beyond Ridiculous is a hair longer/sharper than the original Ridiculous and in my opinion, too close to warrant carrying both balls in my bag at once.  Compared to other skid/flippy balls, Quantum Bias is a step stronger due to the larger core and duller surface prep, helping the ball start up a bit sooner.  The Cutting Edge Solid is a step weaker than the Beyond Ridiculous due to its weaker cover.  Typically in tournament competition I would turn to my Beyond Ridiculous once my benchmark midrange balls (Vandals, Method, Magnitudes) start to roll a little early and don't make a sharp enough move down the lane.  I did not order a Beyond Ridiculous Pearl as I cannot foresee the need for even more length/quick backend given my ball roll.

The Beyond Ridiculous offers a unique shape that will help bowlers project the ball down the lane and make a sharp move on the backend.  Bowlers with more forward roll will love the length and change of direction of this ball, while most others will use it as a niche ball for getting deep inside.  I recommend the Beyond Ridiculous for beat up lane surfaces, second shift leagues and longer tournaments where sharper backend angles are required.

My rev rate is 325
Speed 18.5 mph
PAP 4-1/2" over, 7/16" up
I drilled this ball 50 x 4" x 30

Out of the box, this ball is probably one of the most angular balls down lane I have ever thrown.  The continuous swooping motion it makes is almost unmatched.  It worked good for me on heavy carry down, but was way too quick off the spot on anything else.  I hit it with a 2000 pad by hand to knock the shine off and it made it much more controllable, but still strong enough down lane to be effective on the burn from deeper inside.

I got to test out my Beyond Ridiculous when I bowled a team tourney with a group of strike staff members. The shot was on a long Kegel Recreational shot that had a concentrated amount of oil in the center part of the lane from 8 to 8. Anything outside 8 hooked immediately. I originally tried the crypto first because I wanted a ball to rev up early and be smooth off the dry. What I actually got was either flat 10 or 4 pin. I was inbetween for most of the game. When the 10th frame came, I pulled out my Beyond Ridiculous am moved inside. I was able to play 12 or 13 at the arrows and hit 8 at the break point where the range finder was.
