Title: Expanding the Radical Line
Post by: newguy on June 17, 2014, 04:30:35 PM
With Bowl Expo around the corner we have a few new tricks up our sleeves. Not all of which will be presented at Expo.  We expect this upcoming season to be even more dynamic than last. We have a few new core changes and a host of new covers to expose to the market.  I truly believe that with what we have planned we will once again force companies to look at what they are bringing to market and make changes in order to keep up with the performance as we once again raise the bar. If you recall some of my brands have done that in the past. This is the year for new technology and Radical will lead the way. I'd bet on it!!!!
Wow that's Radical!

Are there plans to use your Soaker coverstock with any of the new cores?  --  JohnP

With all the resources available to me under the relationship I have with Brunswick, the sky is the limit. We have some additives that are better than the soaker we used in the past and that is why we haven't used it, it is somewhat "old" technology. Although some companies are still hanging their proverbial hats on hold technologies and it may be finally catching up with them.

I admire your product for not having an excessive number of balls to choose from.  It's rather easy to see what slots they would fill in an arsenal.  I understand it's a business, but please try to keep it as straightforward as possible.

Thank you very much for what you've done so far.  I'm excited to see what you have for the future!

As a pro shop operator . . . I cannot wait to see what's in store. I started the shift to Radical, Brunswick and DV8 in my center when the Black Reax was released. It's just exploded. I have sold so many it's amazing. I convinced a friend of mine to give Radical an honest try. He went out and set our County record within a month of getting his first ball. I am eager to see what's around the corner.

Newguy---

I appreciate your interactions on BR.com; most company "big wigs" don't take the time to interact with the "little people" (customers), even though we are what keeps the company in business!

Last year when I was looking for a top of the arsenal (heavy/long oil) ball, research led me to the Reax; when compared to my Brunswick Nexus (first one, pink/blue solid-- drilled pin up 45x3.5x40) the Reax hooked earlier (pin under bridge, cg kicked at a 45 degree angle 55x5x35), but still angled harder on the backend of the pattern and handled more oil than my previous "heavy oil ball". Two shots off my hand, and I knew this ball was special.

Since then, I have purchased another Reax, a Reax pearl, and a Yeti; currently, I have a Yeti and another Reax pearl ordered, and I'm debating between the Torrid Elite or the original Torrid (LOVED the Heat). You and Mo have made me a believer in Radical technologies, and your product speaks for itself.

Keep up the great work-- I look forward to seeing what is around the corner from you guys; the Gusto looks pretty good, reminds me somewhat of an IQ tour pearl (core shape different, but rg/diff numbers in the same ball park, and a strong, angular cover) and it fills a void previously noticed in the line up.

Thanks for what you do--it truly is Radical!

I have always felt the pro shop and the consumer are the backbone of the business. Look for a new program to target both to be coming soon. We greatly appreciate the support and never loose sight of the fact that you guys pay the bills.
Thanks to all for the support.

I made the switch to Radical just over a year ago and haven't looked back. Since making the switch I've had over 30 honor scores including my 3 highest series (858, 866, & 889). Each release that comes out just enhances our line and can't wait to see what's on tap for this year. Thanks again to Phil, Mo, and the Radical team for making our line the best.

Phil,
I became a fan of yours with your days at Dynothane. I purchased the Remedy PHD and never looked back. My first year throwing that ball I had 2-300's and 2-800's in a league/house dominated by left-handers in the past (i'm RH). And the next I became the first RH to lead that league in average in over 5 years. I had numerious other Dynothane balls, a few Global 900 balls, and now have started throwing Radical. The partnership between yourself, Mo and Brunswick is pure gold. I have been very impressed with the Reax, Reax Pearl, and Yeti I have. I have heard there will be something amazing coming out soon, and I can't wait to see what it is. Keep up the good work for many many years to come. And also, let me say Thank You. Thank you for sharing your visions, your equipment, and your ideas with us, the bowling public.

I've been using a Dynothane Energy for about 4 years now as my main ball.  That's why I'm interested in a ball with the Soaker coverstock.  --  JohnP

John
Our new covers and additives are even more durable and perform better. Trust me, I would be using the soaker if I thought it was better.
