Title: Guru Mighty is impressive
Post by: robertbrowder on February 28, 2015, 07:12:24 AM
Had a  really good night with the Guru Mighty
277,259,248=784
Really liking the motion the Mighty gives me, reminds me of a longer and stronger Reax Ver.2.

Cool!
Didn't I say you'd be shooting 1+area code numbers with it?

So far I am unimpressed with my Guru Mighty.  The original rolls great for me, but the Mighty is allergic to oil for me.  Need to try it on some other conditions though as I suspect it will have a place in my bag, just not on my house shot which is pretty heavy with oil.

Joe, do you have the original and the Mighty set up the same??

For the most part.  The mighty needed a small weight hole where the original doesn't have one, but they are similarly drilled.

I still have hope for the ball and I'm not even thinking about altering anything yet, but the condition at my house doesn't seem to be a good match for it.

OK, thanks for the feedback. I have the original Guru, which I can't say enough good about, so I'm watching reviews about the Mighty closely. I can't find any credible input on the Mighty over on Allbowling or BBE, so I'm focusing on reviews here on BR. Let me know where (if any condition) you find success with it.

I love the original, which is why I'm not pushing the panic button yet on the Mighty.  I have had moderate success moving in with it when the shot broke down, but the sample size is too small.  It's definitely longer than the original, and when it hits dry it is quite strong off the spot.  I just think the heads where I bowl are a little too flooded for the ball to be as effective as I think it can be.

I have an original Guru drilled strong and was considering a Guru Mighty when the Guru is too much ball.   Given the feedback on the Guru Mighty I think another original Guru drilled pin up will be a better ball for my style (speed dominant) than a Guru Mighty which will may push too long.
