What's up with this?
« on: April 10, 2017, 08:36:30 AM »
I just got a new radical cash and it had a small sticker on the ball that said made in Mexico.
I was under the impression that their balls were made in the U.S. GUESS NOT!

Brunswick, DV8, and Radical have been made in Mexico for awhile now. I think a few of Radical's first balls were poured by 900 global

I don't think Radical has been poured in USA since Brunswick bought them out. Reax was made in Mexico, right?

We have a license agreement with Brunswick. All our balls are poured in their plant, excellent quality.

Not a radical guy myself, but the quality keeps getting better and better with each Release.  I feel the most intriguing stuff out of the plant comes from radical..

Bill, everything out of the Brunswick plant has been excellent quality for me. I have no complaints with any of the balls I've bought the past 2 years that came out of their plant.

I've bought low end Rhino, mid priced Brute Strength, Ridiculous Pearl, Freak Show Solid, high end Grudge Pearl, Ultimate Nirvana, and Absolute Nirvana.

We actually do our own core designs, but we do work very closely with Brunswick's team to come up with the coverstocks that match the core and hit the performance targets.  The Resins we have available are fantastic and offer a wide array of options.

All Brunswick/Radical balls have a sticker saying "Designed in USA. Made in Mexico." It reminds me of the label on the back of the iPhone, "Designed by Apple in CA. Assembled in China" It's still quality nonetheless.

I wonder if Brunswick still has a partnership with Bayer Corp in developing their resins for bowling ball coverstocks like in the 90s.

Either way Brunswick/Radical have been pretty impressive with their releases for awhile now. Plan on giving Radical a try after I collect my league winnings, the Cash has caught my eye with it's said versatility & hook though I would've prefered a blue color over the bright orange but that's just me...maybe next high end release? lol

I've bought Brunswick/Radical equipment almost exclusively since I returned to bowling in 2014. It took me a while to figure out exactly which pieces are more conducive for my game, but I've had zero issues with quality and workmanship. (In fact, I've shared with Phil on a few occasions which pieces I've used that I've experienced the most tournament success.)
Ball speed avg. (18.25 mph)
Rev rate avg. (400-428 rpm)

Well after using the ball for a while it's working the way I had hoped it would. It's definitely the strongest ball in my arsenal.
As for where it's made. In the big scheme of things it really doesn't matter as long as it works for me.
Love the ball and the flexibility.
