Hey everyone! The video for the MOtion hole is now up on www.ballreviewscanada.com! The full description of what we saw is in the video on the website.

Hey Jason, great video - per usual.

Thanks for the explanation of the MOtion hole drilling.I couldn't quite picture the process for drilling it on a ball.Your video is also the best example I have seen thus far showing how much the weight hole can alter the balls reaction.Keep up the great work!

Just remember, if you drill a MOtion hole, be sure the starting top weight is low as the MOtion hole will increase top weight.

I had a motin hole put in my yeti . I'm noticing more length and back end reaction . I threw 10 games 2 days ago and left 6 8 pins (I'm lefty ) , only 2 7 pins . One of those 8 pins cost me a 300 . Even in league last night , front 8 , then pocket 8 pin. Any suggestions on what's the move when you leave pocket 8s consecutively ?

i would make a slight surface adjustment to even it out a little....

Is this a drilling to increase the backend hook, OR does this increase total hook? (similar to a double thumb layout) don

Because of the increase in "gyroscopic inertia" created by the MOtion hole, it will add length to the 2nd transition.
MOtion holes increase length, backend, and pin action.
A Double Thumb Layout will cause the ball to read the friction harder and earlier because it causes the ball to lose axis rotation and tilt earlier.

Excellent description I can use. THANX, don

Tdub , I had about 150 games on the yeti , so I decided to do a little resurface ( 500 grit and then polish). I loved the shape but that's when I noticed the 8 pins . So what surface change was you thinking or suggesting ? I was thinking maybe 1500 to 2000 and then no polish .

Will the motion hole be good on a urethane ball for fried lane condition?

Just out of curiosity, when you say low topweight, do you mean 1-2 to start or 2-3. I've never done a MoTion hole in a ball before but since I just got my new contract, Im gonna be getting lots more stuff to experiment with so I want to know what to request. Would the MoTion hole work well on the Torrid Elite?

I would try to keep the starting weight under 2 1/4. This also depends on whether you are using Removable thumbs like the Vise IT or Turbo Switch Grip, as they also will remove more top weight after drilling in which you may be able to go more than 2 1/4 to start,

The top weight recommended by Mo Pinel (the creator of this layout) is between 2.4 - 2.7 oz.
