Post by: JS on July 11, 2012, 07:38:12 PM
Did the original Slant pearl contain the Soaker additive?

the original Slant Pearl did not have the soaker additive, it was introduced on the Solid and the Hybrid version, and now the HD

Thanks Steve.  When reviewing the HD in BTM's Aug edition they said that the HD had the same cover as the original Slant pearl, just the core was different and I didn't think the original had the Soaker additive.

Steve,

Are you sure?
I ask because I just re-read the BJI review on the original Slant and Phil told Joey there was an additive to make it more "grabby" than similar strong pearls and to give it more midlane. That describes "Soaker" to a T.

Besides, with Soaker in the Solid, the Hybrid and the HD, it almost doesn't make sense for it not to have been in the original pearl.

It was not in the original, we used a different additive in the pearl and that additive has been in all the Slants. The soaker was put in the Solid and the Hybrid and is now in the HD. It makes a realy great combo with the stronger core.
I had not seen the BTM review. So I do not knwo what it says.
