The Cyclops features our new spindle core. This core design matched with our newest flip cover adds a new dimension to the EZ-Use line. We have never had a ball with this much backend at this price point in the Radical line. The Cyclops like our other big backend balls clears the fronts and makes one big head turning move off the spot. The Cyclops is ideal on light to medium lane conditions and is the perfect ball for a wide array of lane conditions a novice or experienced bowler will see.
In the video Phil said the Cyclops is similar to the Ridiculous, but a touch cleaner and stronger off the spot. So probably somewhere between the Ridiculous and Ridiculous Pearl.

Good explanations by Phil here. I think the Cyclops is a little cleaner than the Ridiculous, but stronger off the spot??? Naw!! If anything the Cyclops looks to be more forgiving off the spot for a number of different styles! Just my take.
That Ridiculous was, well, just Ridiculous!! LOL!

This ball did strike more on Throbot than any other we have tested in the past year. We were done shooting well before lunch so we took additional shots with Keanu because it's awesome to watch.

The updated ball chart has the Cyclops as the ball that handles the least amount of oil while falling almost in the middle in terms of reaction. So maybe more like a weaker version of what would be between the Ridiculous and Ridiculous Pearl. Might explain why it looks a bit more forgiving in the video.
And I agree, the Ridiculous line has a crazy response to friction from what I've seen. Hard to imagine something with similar core numbers and a moderately comparable coverstock actually being stronger off the spot.
For those that it matters to I believe the Cyclops is a hybrid as well. The Black Solid / Copper Pearl color description doesn't leave much room for argument.
BrunsNick, any idea of how this would compare to a Rave or Rave On?

Core looks similar to Rave core (which I use 90% of the time on league night). Other 10% Jackpot. Anyway my question is how does it compare to the rave and the Jackpot.

It will fit in between the Rave and Rave On. More overall hook than Rave and a little less than Rave On with the similar motion.

A little more hook than the Rave, a few boards less hook than the Jackpot with a little more off the spot.

Nick, my next purchase I need some thing that as I move in deep during the night can still get around the corner to trip the ten. Is this the ball in your humble opinion or should I be looking for something in one of the other two lines.

Mid April. Glad that I held off on the Ridiculous Pearl. This ball sound more to my liking. We shall see.
