Title: Rave
Post by: rlechette on June 30, 2015, 10:13:57 PM
With a new core from Radical this is a very good mid-shelf ball.On light to medium lane conditions it moved well. The ball has a higher RG so there is length there already. My ball has a 2-4 inch pin so I drilled it pin up.The CG is 1/2 inch right of center of the grip with the pin 3 1/2 inches from my PAP.The breakpoint was sharp but it was controllable. This ball is a great house shot ball in my opinion and is very bowler friendly and driller friendly.A very good ball and not a lot of money.

I drilled mine 60x5.25x65 and the flare was very tight. I hit it with a 1500 grit pad by hand and the ball came to life on the backend. I typically like dull everything and the skid snap I saw after the adjustment was incredible for that price.

The Rave has been a very pleasant surprise. Nick is right, it is a great bang for the buck. Good for medium or shorter patterns and for older wood houses that have lots of built in friction. For me it revs up quicker than the Monkey family and offers a bit more over all hook with a smooth shape downlane. It is a nice step down from the Primo and a very sharp looking piece. Mike Mineman.

Threw mine a little more, did some video as well. This ball seems to hit harder than most, it kind of reminds me of an LT48 with a little more overall hook.
