Title: Reax Version 2 showing why...
Post by: robertbrowder on January 22, 2014, 06:31:57 AM
Reax Version 2 still showing it's a great ball:
259-269-269 = 797
By far one of the best high end balls on the market!
Give Radical a chance you won't be disappointed.

I may have missed it in a previous post but what are your delivery stats and how is your ball drilled?

Also how does the Reax 2 Pearl differ from Reax 2?

Good bowling!!!!!

Its even cleaner through the  front and more angular down the lane. More kick off the spot. We are adding to the already successful Reax arsenal.

Rev Rate: 350
MPH @ Cameras: 16
PAP: 5.5">  1/8"^

It gives me about 2' more length with a stronger move off the spot and great motion through the pins. It really compliments the Version 2 very well. Depending on how the lanes have broken down I can stay within 2 boards of the Version 2.

A better question would be how does the Reax 2 Pearl differ from the original Reax Pearl.

I see a Reax in my future, just not sure which of the four. I'm a Radical dude though. Have the TA, and got an original Times Up for when things burn up. Also have a Grease Monkey on the way thanks to a gift card I won.

Would ultimately like to add one of the Reax for the occasion where I might be facing somewhat heavier conditions; which for me won't be often. So strong and versatile would be the key words.

I have the reax 2 and am ordering the reax 2 pearl. These 2 have the same cores, thus my reason for asking how they differ.

I would suggest the Reax Version 2. It is a bit more versatile than the pearl version.

Thank you sir. I'll put it on my wish list.

(And I should have said 'a better question for me')

I'll heavily second the Reax 2 recommendation. Even with a quite tame control layout on mine this ball hits and carries with the best of them.

It's also very versatile as I've tried it with 4 different surfaces on 3 different shots. The guy that have me the layout happens to know a lot about these balls and my game.

I'm really looking forward to getting the R2P and will post back when I get some games on it

Highly recommend the Ver. 2 very predictable every time down the lane and very strong through the pins.

I wanted a reax v2 from the moment it was released, but other things got in the way.  Was finally able to purchase one about a month ago.

OOB the Reax 2 was just crazy long with a very very sharp break point.  was medium difficult to control so I hit the cover with 2000 to get it to start just a bit earlier.

Been a fun month with the Reax V2  low series of 670 and last thurs put up a 289,300. we wont talk about game 2 :)   If you have a med\heavy to heavy shot then putting a reax in the bag really isnt a bad idea.

Congrats on the 300 Matt.
The one thing Mo and Phil have told us on many occasions is not to be shy about changing the covers if your not happy or looking for a different reaction. Myself I hit my Reax and Reax V.2 after about 15-18 games with 500 abralon by hand then 200 abralon by hand (no spinner).

After about 12-15 games I do a light touch up and a good deep cleaning.  The 2000 surface is perfect for my easy heavy house shot.

I have always liked how Mo designs stuff to be flexable.  As we all know there is more than 1 way to skin a cat.

With scores like that, I have a feeling you could score well with pretty much any brand.  I do like Radical's lineup though.

Thank you for the compliment, but my home house is about as easy as it gets.  Its a 41' Stone St Pattern on 1 yr old Brunswick Pro Lanes. Plenty of oil and some good dry to bounce it off of.

A month ago they held their annual big Tourny.  i was +160 for 5 games and took 30th.    That's how easy this place is.

I can use anything from my normal Visionary equipment if I want to play straighter to the reax v2 if I need a little more area.

Matt when your ready look at the Grease Monkey to replace the Warlock Peral and the Yeti to replace the Samuri.

I fell into a thing with Visionary, so for mid level balls I am stocked to the gills.  Tho I have seen the Monkey in use and it does roll rather well, just very similar to about 5 other balls i currently own.

What I didnt have was a hook monster, and that is why I love the V2
