Title: The new items are great but those throwbacks still kick butt (Grease Monkey)
Post by: coach big b on September 09, 2015, 12:22:58 PM
League started this week and I wanted to use the new items that was released from Radical. They made some adjustments to our shot so the Master and guru line was way too strong for the look I had. I went to my car and pulled out the Grease Monkeys. I remember I was working on some things and I needed something smoother for the shot that night. 1st game was a 179 with the strong end stuff. Next two was 240 and 250. Don't sleep on the older items as well as the newer ones. I got the line for a very nice price and these balls hit like a tank. I used the Grease Monkey and then closed out with the Whack. To me the Whack is cleaner than the Grease Monkey. The Pow rolled well but I had it at 800 which was too much for that time. Excellent carry, very clean, and strong finish. All of my monkeys are Motion hole layouts. So the length I picked up with the layout along with the make up of these pieces are great for THS patterns. Check out your local pro shop and check out if you can find any of these items for sale on the shelf. Great investment.

Agreed.
20 years is a throwback in bowling terms.

My V-2 is still great for a low volume house shot. That's a throwback.
