Been looking at radical for a while...I'm itching to buy a new ball...been 3 yrs since my last purchase....let me say I'm down and in player,stroker,ball speed 15,medium revs...I want a ball that's smooth and predictable... What do you recommend?

My opinion: Rack Attack Grape Solid.
By far the best bang for you buck in all of bowling if you ask me. Smooth and predictable, stronger than expected. Ball takes surface changes well.
Winner, winner, winner. I've had more people ask me what I'm throwing when I'm using this, than anything I've ever had.
I don't have the Primo - but have heard good things of it as well.

If you can find one, I'd recommend a Yeti Untamed. The next piece would be a Reax Gusto. I've also heard a lot of good things about the Primo.

Your stats are pretty much = mine except I'm a lefty. I have had a Torrid Affair (too mellow), and a Guru (complete waste of money), but I also have shied away from asyms as a result. Symetrical only for me now. I decided to give them one more try before I start my Motiv arsenal and have an Uncaged that I bought on closeout arriving today. I'll use it this afternoon and can give you a comparison. I know it's listed as a skid snap, but wouldn't be the first time I've seen that not happen.

I forgot I have high track....yea symmetric cores I prefer that's why Brunswick copperhead is fav ball ever...had a damage I did well with, now bought ai did ok,bought dv8 brutal nightmare boy that was wrong ball for me...long and strong not ball reaction I like....

Consider trying the Deviant when it comes out on the 27th. It is a very predictable ball. It is my new benchmark ball in my bag.

Smooth and predictable. Rack Attack Solid, Grease Monkey Pow, Rave will work well for most medium length THS. If you're looking for something that handles a little more oil . . . Primo or Guru Supreme. The versatility of the Radical line is great. If you struggle later in the set kicking out the corners or 8-10, you may want to get a Ridiculous or Motion hole a Grease Monkey Pow or Whack. I, after talking to Mo, drilled a Guru Master with lower flare drilling for a stroker. He loves the way the ball carries for him. They have the most comprehensive drilling info in the business. Have your PSO help match the right drilling for what you're looking for and your game.

If I had to name 1 ball I would go with a Primo. It is an extremely user friendly ball that will cover a wide spectrum of conditions if you are versed in moving around on the lane. I would go with the most versatile symmetric layout with around a 4' to 4 1/2' pin to PAP and throw it a little and work with your ball driller on if a balance hole is needed to change the reaction. Have them start with static weights that are legal so if you like the reaction a hole is not necessary. Mike Mineman.

I would suggest you drill a Ridiculous with the pin under the fingers. It will corner stronger but will be very controllable. Also the cover uses our newest technology and is durable and very tunable.
A stronger ball if desired was our number one seller the original Black Guru. It is strong and still controllable.

The Yeti Unleashed is a symmetrical piece designed for heavy oil and it works. My dad has higher speed and low revs (250 RPM) and this ball allowed him to get a good 5 to 7 boards left of where he normally plays. From straight up 10 with his Hypercell and Hyroad to 15 and farther left out to 10 with the Yeti Unleashed and the ball comes back with power. 3 " pin to PAP , motion holed. It is early and smooth and continuous. Carries better than his Guru Mighty in my opinion. Just keep it clean and keep dulling the cover down when it shines up from use and the ball will keep performing like new.

The Yeti Uncaged is a great piece too. On sale and you can't go wrong at the price on sale. My dad has this ball too and it might be for a little lighter oil but we dulled his and it moves well on heavier oil. It goes a bit longer and a bit more angular than the Yeti Unleashed, even at the same cover finish.

Your opinion on the difference between the original Guru and the Guru Supreme? I don't have a Guru but from what I have seen the original is so versatile. The ball will handle oil at box surface or duller. I have also seen it work very well on medium light with a higher grit surface. My dad has the Guru Mighty and I think it might be the worst out of all of the Guru line.

not every ball in the out of the box surface works for everyone. sometimes you need to adjust the surface or be sure and use the proper drill pattern.

I'll second Phil's response concerning surface adjustments. Best example in my experience owning Radical equipment was my first Reax Version 2 solid. I was so frustrated with it that I tried selling it on eBay; there were no takers. I tinkered with the surface once more and finally saw something I was looking for with that piece. I liked it so much that I bought a second Reax Version 2 solid. Now I don't leave home without one or both pieces.

Which surface works best for you? Right now I have mine at 1000.
