Title: What is your Radical go to ball?
Post by: Brandon Riley on February 28, 2016, 07:08:04 PM
Been throwing my pin down Ridiculous (45x4.75x70 w/ a P3) a lot lately and have been really happy with the reaction.  Which Radical ball (and layout) are you using as your benchmark ball?  For anybody who has thrown the original Primo, how does it compare to the Ridiculous?

Won't lie, the Rack Attack solid at 1k Siaair 55x3.25x30 small hole on the pap. It has bailed me out many times. So predictable and an amazing value.

Rack Attack Solid here. Saved my bacon(and paid for itself several times over) on many occasions.

Ridiculous asym drilled pin below middle finger cg in palm, mb just right of thumb and a small weight hole.  This layout puts the pin 5 1/2 away from pap.   Such a smooth ball and is strong enough that I can pretty much use it on anything.

Rave On, I have had this ball for 2 weeks, and I really like it, especially for the price,
drilled it pin above ring, cg a little right, great length, and it has a good backend.

This year my original Guru with a double-thumb layout and 2000K finish has been perfect on Anvilane. Revs up super hard just before hitting the pins. Now I'm trying to figure out what other Radical stuff to get.

I will 2nd the OG Monkey. Pin over ring, P3 hole and 2k surface. It's a beast!!

I also love my Rack Attack Solid. Butter, smooth and predictable.

Ridiculous pin up stacked to start with.
If it's not enough because of oil.
Original Guru same layout as the Ridiculous.
If they are drier.
Then either a Yeti untamed or a Rack Attack pearl.

Reax V 2.

Also have the Gusto and GM Whack, but neither has enough games on it to let me have much confidence yet.

Love this post. It's hard to pick just one of the balls that's out right now in our line. The one that is my MVP right now is my Ridiculous. I did what Parker Bohn said in one of the staff interviews. He said that with the equipment that is coming out of the factory now using basic label drillings will fit the need for most of the things we need when we bowl. I went with the length with controlled backend layout that is listed on the base layouts. I love this ball and it's very versatile, outstanding recovery, good length, and predictable. I love every ball that has been released but this one has been a money maker for me.
