This topic started out as a Lanemaster Absolute Power thread and ended up as a Storm Absolute Power thread.  Is this what is known as a hijacking?  :)

56950 - Storm / Re: Summit Peak
« Last post by Kyle.Johnson88 on April 20, 2024, 12:19:16 PM »
Ball Specs:
Storm Summit Peak
TX-23™ Pearl Reactive
Weight Block: Centripetal™ HD -A.I. (Symmetrical)
Color: Goldenrod/Mint/Iridium

Review:
The pearl version of the summit was the one we were waiting for. We love the tech and cover SPI blended with the original summit bowling ball. For us it was one of the strongest symmetrical bowling balls we have thrown. Before drilling we really expected this ball was going to be very clean and hook a lot off the spot. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). As we expected this ball is very angular. On the fresh this ball is probably too clean for us. If we had to make it work we would probably need to knock the polish off with some surface, probably 2-3k. Because we want this type of shape later in the block we will leave the cover out of box. This ball is a perfect ball down from the original summit, or maybe a solid asymmetrical piece of equipment. We see it blending perfectly in that late game 2 to games 3-4 range. Something in between a first out of bag to say a hustle. Overall we love the look, smell, and logo. This ball has great shelf appeal and if you love to see that clean look down lane with a big snap you will not be disappointed in this piece.

Ball Specs:
Storm Absolute Power
4000 Grit R2S™ DEEP Solid Reactive
Weight Block: Sentinel™ Core (Asymmetrical)
Color: Berry/Tangelo/Steel

Review:
SPI really pushed this piece heavily on social media. We didn’t really match up well with the original Absolute. We felt it was a little too clean and never really had that back-end reaction we felt it needed with box surface to help the cleanliness of the ball shape. Taking that ball and adding a solid cover and knocking the finish down really helped give the Absolute Power the shape we were looking for in the original. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). This ball is smooth on the fresh with that down and in motion, surprisingly smooth for an asymmetrical ball. It also blends the lane nicely in that game 2 and game 3 scneario where you need to move a little left. We can see this ball being one of those pieces that you stay with for several games making small adjustments before having to ball down or go to something slightly cleaner. For these reasons, this is a special piece. It is a ball for league bowlers, tournament players, and everyone in between. Make sure you grab an Absolute Power today!

59030 - Storm / Storm The Road Review
« Last post by myers007 on April 19, 2024, 06:58:18 PM »
The Storm The Road features the ReX Hybrid Reactive cover, Inverted Fe² A.I. Core , and reacta gloss finish. The Road is the newest ball in the Hyroad line from Storm. It is also the first time we are seeing ReX Hybrid cover. After throwing the ball, it was much stronger than I was thinking. The cover lets it get through the front but picks up in the mid lane earlier than the original Hyroads. I compared the road to the IQ Ruby and the road is a ball above the ruby. The Ruby is cleaner and sharper down lane compared to the road. I think they will compliment each other when the road is picking up too early and you need something to get down the lane further, the ruby will be a good ball down. This is another great addition to the Hyroad line!

Hello.

I used to have a Virtual Gravity ball when it first came out and it was my favorite. Does Storm make a ball now that is, essentially, a carbon copy?
