Got this ball having been impressed by the "Mutant Cell Solid." Drilled the ball to be smooth through the heads and have a nice recovery in the back end.
One thing i like about the ball was that it looks much nicer then the Old Mutant Cell. Still hit hard like a train and fly pins everywhere. One thing that threw me off about this ball was that this ball on the Mutant Cell Solid would leave me solid 8 pins often. I would have a string going then all of a sudden i leave an 8 pin.

Great Ball though. Can be a very versatile ball in the right hands. Has more of a snap in the backend instead of a flip. But gets clean throught the heads. For me it was a little "Rev Sensitive" from time to time. Had take off a little hand for this ball to react consistently on the lane.

I just done a trade on here for this ball the mutant cell pearl.  The first outting with it I found this ball has a nice roll on the back end and not a bit jumping move toward the pocket.  The smooth arch it gave made bowling with it very comforting because I knew where the ball was headed tome after time.  Later I had the chance to try it on a fresh medium house shot and I have the same success with this ball.  I still have the same easy length and the backend was very smooth and archy.  I'm averaging 210 with it so far and can't wait to get other pattern to try it on.  

The span on this ball is 1/2" stretched and I'm still able to average this well with it.  After getting the span mover to my specs I'm expecting the numbers to just go higher.  great ball roto grip.  I waiting to try your new theory!!

I wouldn't have tried this ball after trying the Cell pearl, but I won it at the High Roller so the price was right.  First outing was a very pleasant surprise.  On a brokent down house shot I easily moved inside and had good reaction whether I opted to cover a few boards out to the track, or play closer to the oil line.  Although very rolly and smooth off the dry, I got great continuation from the inside angle.  Playing straighter against the oil, the easy roll gave me great carry without having to create a lot of entry angle.  I suspect this ball may be one of those that will allow me to go very straight on long tournament patterns without sacrificing much carry.  

My friends at Roto don't agree, but after throwing it I see a lot of similarity to my AZO Area that is also exceptional on very long oil for the same reason, and carries very well from deep inside on late squads.

Likes: The Mutant Cell Pearl is my favorite ball.  The way the ball reacts at the end of the lane is amazing.  It is a very  powerful ball with a great back end.

I just recently purchased this ball, and have found a couple shots i could play with it. Bowling for Wright State University, you have to have a solid arsenal for all different kinds of patterns. This ball fits right in the lower/middle range in my arsenal. I have found one really good shot with this ball. When sport patterns dry up, most bowlers with a decent amount of hand have to play deep inside, fader, with this ball, i can do just that. It seems to roll nice, and flip just enough in the back end/at the break point to hit hard and carry. So far, I am pretty satisfied with this ball.

Likes: I drilled up this ball pin up so that it will go long and snap on the end. I use this ball if the pattern is short and when the lanes break down i move left and throw this ball about 23 to 15 and it just snaps right into the pocket. It is a great ball when the lanes break down or when the lanes are playing short.

Likes:I had the ball drilled with the pin right through the ring finger. I did this because i am a high rev bowler for wright state and i needed to be able to control it on the backends. This drilling really fit what i wanted out of the ball and is one of my go to balls when the patterns start to burn up a little bit. THis is the first pearl ball that i have ever had that actually starts to roll up a little early for me but hasgreat backend at the same time. It is the only pearl ball that i have been able to throw on sport patterns that hasn't been over under for me.

My Mutant Cell Pearl was drilled strong and happens to be the strongest ball I have.  It gets through the heads nicely and has a lot of back end. I like this ball on long oil because it still hooks even though I don't have much hand.  I put it at 1000 grit and it rolls a little bit earlier and still finishes hard.  Overall, this is one of my favorite balls.

Likes:
It is unfortunate that I have very few likes but one, it looked really cool.  I have seen some that look horrible and have NO shelf appeal.  Mine was sweet.  The other, carry.  When and if I made it to the pocket it was never a question of pins standing or not.



Dislikes: 
This ball for me turned out to be a dud.  Compared to all my  other Cells (Rogue, Cell Pearl, Cell, Mutant) this one is the worst.  I love Roto Grip so take this as honest criticism.  For me that ball was so inconsistent.  There where shots that would labor to turn the corner and then there where shots that did (which carry on these was amazing).  But it was 6 if one, half dozen of the other.

 

I don't want to completely blame the ball.  I have this one drilled 4 1/2 by 4 pin up above the ring.  This drilling is my favorite and produces strong ball motion for my style and release.  However, I didn't like the Cell Pearl with pin up either.  I have seen a few people that throw the MCP and open up the lanes and shot after shot is the same.  I think that a layout with pin down would have taken out some of the inconsistency for me and reduced its sensativity to speed.  Getting the ball to roll earlier and still maintain a strong motion down lane.  The pearl cover will help maintain length to off set pin down.

 

I have another one down stairs, I think I will go pin down but still strong and get back with an update...stay tuned.

I use this ball for shorter sport patterns. This ball goes more straight up and then has a little back end. The ball always hits hard.

 I liked The ball The ball hooked a ton on med light to medium patterns the only problem is it didnt like heavy oil or longer patterns. Hit and carry where good. Over all great ball for the money. Got rid of the ball because it overlapped my 607 and 715 so i decided to trade it off.
