Revs: Low
Speed: Med-High
AVG: 222 on easy house shot
Ball: 15 lb Mutant Cell
Drilling: 3 3/8" Pin to PAP w/balance hole
I bought this ball to replace a Virtual Gravity. The only difference between this ball and the Virtual Gravity I had is the balance hole was put in a less "dynamic" position, othwerwise the drilling was the same and the surface (2000 abralon) was the same as I had with the VG. On a fresh house shot my right foot was on the same mark (3 boards right of the center dot) and I was throwing between the first and second arrow. I didn't have to move for the first two games (222, 260), the last game the lanes began to dry up a bit and I didn't move soon enough (199). 681 series with the Mutant cell my first night back after not bowling for over a month, not bad.
At 2000 abralon the ball has a smooth reaction and a heavy roll, maybe even a little less backend than the VG. The carry however is excellent and while it might not come booming back to the pocket for me on a miss right like a hockey stick, it will carry the light hits extremely well. When I missed left and got it more in the oil, it held line and gave me that little turn at the end into the pocket and carried. I encountered a few 10 pins with it when I hung up and came around the side a little bit and didn't stay up the back and roll it. All in all it is a great ball for someone like me with lower revs and a speed dominant style as long as I roll it right. I don't think I will miss my Virtual Gravity with this beast in my bag.
