Although I haven't thrown the Mutant Cell much yet, I have still thrown it enough to know how this ball will react and it has met my expectations so far. The Mutant Cell is a ball that has a lot of back end and made for longer patterns. The way my ball is drilled it will go a bit longer than the Rogue Cell but it has a more powerful hook on the end allowing it to have more power when hitting the pocket. This drilling has allowed me to use this ball on patterns when my Rogue Cell just isn't powering through the pocket
When you bowl for a college team, such as Wright State, you come across many different kinds of oil patterns. I have a Rogue Cell and Nomad Pearl. However, whenever I came across a longer oil pattern, I had trouble with the ball finishing strong in the pocket. I got the Mutant Cell just for that purpose. I don't use it that often, but it works very well on longer patterns. I have it drilled so it rolls pretty far down the lane, but it has a stronger backend which helps it to also finish strong. I like the Mutant Cell because it works well on patterns that my Rogue and Nomad do not.
Perfect for long and high volume patterns. My favorite ball for the Shark pattern.
