I was having a bit of carry issues on a Wet THS on older original Anvilane with dead backends. My RSX was giving me a good reaction but I was leaving a few too many corners. Drilled the RSP same layout as my RSX I was rewarded with back to back 700's.
I also used it on a medium length Sport condition and it worked exceptionally well. The coverstock provides the added traction that takes the over-skid out of some dense Sport patterns.
The RSP gives me the same look as the RSX just a little bit earlier and not as snappy. The ball still carries tons of power into the pins. Teammates and competitors have commented on the flying lumber.
The RSP has a different on lane look than the Oracle Vision. I think you are doing yourself a disservice if you do not carry both.

Drilled mine up 4 x 3 with the pin about 5/8 of an inch above the ring finger. Ball has a 3/4 inch weight hole on my axis. I threw the ball tonight on our new mwns league house shot. Even with more oil on the lanes this ball was still too strong to be practical but i decided to trow it anyway. I was able to play real deep (20-25 at the arrows) with the ball and swing it to the 5 board and it still roared back. Only problem was it was so strong that the corners, 9 pins and 8 pins were tough to carry lol. Tries some shots keeping it tight in the heavy oil and it still made such a huge move on the back end that it was tough to carry. I can't wait to throw this on the condition it's designed for. With the addition of this ball to the RS line it gives you a great arsenal for a quitr reasonable price. Another great ball from ROTO!!!!!

Drilled this ball up last week. 16#, pin is about 2". Placed the pin under the ring finger, and kicked the cg off to the right about an 1" or so from my center of grip. Works out to be about a 5x4 for me, no weight hole needed. Out of the box, this cover looked too dull for me, so I put some polish on it before I drilled it to help get some length, due to the shorter pin. First off, even with the polish on this ball, it still read the lane a little earlier than I anticipated. The ball revs up nice, and for me, gets decent length and has a very strong arc to the pocket. Definately an aggressive piece. Last week in league I struggled with carry the first two games. I had drilled this ball that night, so I decided to throw it the last game. I pulled this out and shot 279, leaving one solid ten pin. This week, I decided to start with this ball, and wound up shooting 279-279-279 for an 837, just a few ten pins. The ball hits very well, and when in the pocket, the pins wind up in the pit. If the shot is a hair less than flush, this ball will definately throw the lumber around and carry the dime. I was surprised how easy this ball adjusted to the lane break down. I had expected it to jump immediately once the oil started to disappear, but this ball held the line all night. Slight changes in hand position, and a small move of the feet, and stayed in the pocket. For me, this ball looks like, and reacts like the El Nino 2000, which I really liked. Overall I think this ball is much stronger, and definately worth the bang for the buck. An outstanding piece for the price, and will now be my benchmark ball.

Drilled 3 1/2 pin out ball with Pin 5" from PAP, 1 3/4 up from centerline, MB 3 1/2 from PAP. No hole was needed as statics were 1/2 side and 1/4 thumb. I threw it in box surface on a couple of different patterns second shift after the push had started... decent amount of carrydown on old Brunswick synthetics. This ball was fairly smooth through the front and made a strong, sweeping recovery with amazingly good entry angle for a particle piece. Three sets on similar conditions saw the same results: Easy striking through a game and a half with minimal adjustment, then a bit of a move left with the breakpoint in the same area, and then more striking.
I threw it this past weekend with Brunswick Rough-Buff polish on the #3 pattern (good guardian) for the first three games and saw very much the same reaction only a bit more angular. Shots missed to the right recovered and hit well, while shots missed inside a bit seemed to be fairly forgiving and energy retention was fantastic.
This is my first "high performance" Roto in quite a few years and I'm impressed. I think I'll be putting holes in more of these soon.

What a smooth hard hitting ball that takes out the 7 pin for this 68 year old left-hander. Had this baby drilled with the pin 1 inch below ring finger with the CG 3 inches lower. Out of box the ball had a smooth inside out reaction. 1st game was 279 with afternoon house shot. The past 3 weeks, have had 7 league 700's. Week-end of Oct.15th, shot 721-744-791 in Az. classic tournament qualifier's. This past week-end in Valley of Sun Senior Tournament the ball gave me 300-780 in singles, 279-751 dbls. 2174 Ale.(its got to be the ball)... This ball will be next to my Oracle Vision in the bag for a 1-2 Pearl Particle punch. I've had some team & league bowler's asking about the ball & can't believe its a Mid-Range & priced ball. This is a very impressive ball for the price. Got this drilled for a goof, wanted to try it out. I layed it out, fairly strong with a 3½ x 4½ (cg kicked left). No hole. Ball flares nice and really carries well. Comapred to my Paradigm and other balls, this layout produces a better carry percentage while playing inside, say 17 to 12. It has enough left to make the corner and get the dimes out. The coverstock and core matchup is dead-on. These guys really have a winner in this ball, order one up today. Can't go wrong for the price.

I have had great luck with the RS line, and this one is no exception. In this day and age, with the backends stripped every day, this is the ball for fresh conditions. It is great when you watch other equipment over react when it hits the dry, and have an incredibly smooth transition from oil to dry with the RSP, along with the RSX. I have been asked many time, how I can control my equipment, simple answer, Roto Grip. I have used the RSP on a house shot and scored, on a sport shot and scored, this ball is the answer to a lot of conditions. League or tournament, this ball stays in my bag.

15 LB. I place the pin above the ring finger i kick the cg out to 2:30 .
I tried it dull right out the box. And u talk about hook it hook very earlier and still never lost its engery including the backend, on the house pattern .So i shine it up with Storm X-shine and it made a huge difference.I was looking for the skid through the front and the mid-lane and i found.I see this ball reminds me alot of the RS-X accept this ball grabs the lane little more in the front and midlane . I really like this ballwhen the oil has carry down and the backend are very tame it still go through the tight backends. I recommend this ball to anybody and everybody that want something that is aggressive .This ball is very readable all diffent types of conditions out on the market.

I recently got the RSP. Stats are 16 lb with 4 to 4 1/2" pin and 3.26oz of top weight. I am a stroker with medium revs and a high track. I was looking for something with a little more recovery in carrydown than the RSX or RS1 gives. Boy is this ball phenominal. My comfort level is usually a down and in, some times with a slight swing. I decideded that this ball would probably hook too much and too early dull so I polished with storm step 3 and Moonshine. I pre-bowled today for Thursday league and shot 245, 300, and 256 for an 801!!!! This ball will carry from most any angle. I also have the Oracle Vision and I feel this ball is far stronger!!!!!

The RSP is a great addition!
Stronger than the RS-X. Very similar to the Oracle Vision. Except a little more angular. Great ball when lanes are in transition or peferct for sport patterns. The rotary III core is definately one of the better engines and the guys at Roto Grip continue to tweak it to perfection. Definately look for medium to heavy patterns. As the coverstock is to strong for dry.

I drilled mine up to hook stop. With the pearl particle cover it works the way I want. I find I can use it when my RS-X just doesn't want to make the turn or has too much of a jump. Grab this ball and I watch it rev up in the midlane, give me a nice smooth transition, and just hold line. This ball hits as hard the rest of the RS line and is a versatile as the rest. The ball is one of the best mid priced balls I've every drilled up for me or any of my customers.

Ball specs – 15 lbs 5 oz, 4.38 top weight, 3 inch pin.
This ball arrived with more top weight than what I usually drill. I left the 800 out of box finish but added some polish. What a great looking orb when shined. This RSP was drilled with a 4.5†X 75 degree layout, pin just above ring finger and mass bias just below thumbhole.
The RSP is surprisingly clean through the fronts (displayed a little bit of lope probably due to the high top weight), had a strong mid lane read and a strong continuation on the back end. The RSP was a little sooner and stronger in the mid lane with a similar (slightly stronger) back end look as the Oracle Vision, which is drilled about the same. (Please refer to my Oracle Vision review)
The RSP’s mid lane read is different enough from the Oracle Vision’s to warrant having both pearl particles in your bag.

This ball is 5x5 layout for me . This ball with this layout is a ball I use when i can't go left to right with another ball or I have to keep the ball in front of me . Definite one of the harder hitting balls Rotogrip has to offer

Drilled the pin 5" from PAP and the CG 4 1/2" from PAP. I had to lightly scuff the ball to help give it some traction in the oil. To be honest I had a little trouble with the ball quiting early on the back ends, then I put an extra hole 5" over and 2" down and what a difference it made. The ball drives through the pins and carries great. The cover stock is veyr manageable. You can scuff it or shine it. The ball rolls very evenly and works great on the wetest sport conditions that I've found. This ball is now one of my favorite balls.

I have two RS/P's and I must say I am very impressed. The first ball is drilled pin above bridge cg swung out diagonal to my ring finger wgt hole in the finger quad. This ball is very smooth through out the lane, I have been able to use it playing deep inside, up the boards, and swinging it (sport shots, and house shots). I just purchased another one last night and I drilled this one pin above middle finger cg diagonal to the ring finger, wgt hole in the finger quad 5 1/2 x 3 3.5inch pin, 2.86 top. I was able to make a 10 board jump right after switching from the first RS/P. This ball and layout works very well on the wet dry. Its very even and it just flat out rolls, when it sees fraction it will move but not flip left. If anyone goes with the second RS/P drill be careful how far the mb is from the VAL, also where the wgt hole is placed. If possible try to get lower top wgt that will make life a little easier. I almost messed up with those two things until my proshop instructor helped me out. Thanks Billy Slater (Twelve in a row pro shop owner)

15# 3.5-4 inch pin 3 oz top
Mine is drilled with a "modified" label drill because the pin to cg distance is so long. The pin is pretty far up and to right of my ring finger and the cg is just over the top and little bit to the right of my thumb.
I love this ball. It has a very nice controllable reaction and it doesnt over-react when it hits the dry.
Last week I shot a 230 in the first game with my Command Zone Arc and it would have been higher but in the tenth frame it just went straight and stoped hooking. The whole second game i strugled in trying to find the pocket and in the tenth frame i took out the rsp and boom, i struck out. it ignored the carry down. finished with 167 in second game and a 257 in the third game with the RSP.

This is one of my favorite balls. I have been able to use it on any lane condition, and have the same reaction. It is a very smooth ball with a strong arch on the back end.

Ball Specs: 15#, 2 inch pin, unsure of TW as I bought it used.
Drill: Pin below and just offset outward from ring finger, cg roughly in center of grip
I don't know the specs regarding PAP for this drill, but my PAP is 4 over and 3/4 up. If I had to guess I'd say it's about a 3-1/2 by 4 layout.
Surface: 500 abralon finished with Storm Step 2 Polish
Lanes: Wood with some carrydown from 1st shift women's league.
Reaction: This piece gives me good length for those worn down heads. I get a medium mid-lane read, and it doesn't overreact to dry at all. When this ball makes its move off the breakpoint, it's a strong arc that pushes through carrydown and continues through the deck. I really love the way this ball holds its reaction as the lanes transition. I can get a good look on a swing shot, and if the track area burns up I can get a solid hold in the oil on an inside line. The reaction is very controllable and predictable.
I haven't had a chance to throw this ball on a fresh shot yet, but I think the particle pearl cover should do a good job of smoothing over/under. All in all, this ball is a great benchmark piece that sits well above my Sonic Boom.
I give it a 9.75/10, couldn't ask for a better piece, especially at this price point.

Very controllable ball. Great Ball. I would say I average 170 at the house I shoot at. High game with this ball before was 245 from a 7Xs in a row. Aug-23-07 shot 269,188,229 for the last 3 games of a 6 game fun night. I was playing a inside line that I never played before.
