As the sun falls below the horizon we look to the stars for direction. Let Roto Grip® show you the way with the all new RS-Xtm. This all new mid-priced release combines classic looks with superior performance to deliver what will be one of the best balls on the market today!

Once again we have stepped to the forefront with the introduction of the "all-new" Sure Grip Extremetm reactive coverstock. This highly enhanced solid reactive coverstock gives you superior traction in the most solid of oils along with unparalleled energy at the breakpoint. This translates into big mid-lane motion and powerful backend reaction.

The power cell inside this new Roto Star is the rotary IIItm core found in the already popular RS-1tm. This low RG high differential power plant brings it all the way through the lane on those medium to heavy conditions.

Reach for Star and leave the competition lost in the Dark!

This ball is a great ball for all condition I have mine set with the pin above the ring finger with a weight hole it's set up to go long and finish strong.I  bowl on a easy pattern what we call the christmas tree because with heavy oil in the middle and the outside dry it can't get any better for bowlers.Still if you want to carry you need the right ball.I bowl my first 3 games shot 775 and after I bowl in a other bowling center where the carry is tougher but the condition are still fairly easy if you keep moving PS: every 4 frames. My average is 17 pins lower there only 213 but I use the rsx for 2 night and on those 2 I average 240 and I'm high average at that house. The ball hits very strong playing inside or outside.I bowl a tournament on the weekend I use the Saturn mostly but when I  move inside I wasn't getting enough back end reaction so I switch to the rsx and on my first game ever with it in a tournament I bowl a perfect game it was the only one of the tournament it wasn't easy there was not much hold in the middle and speed was critical the best part is I had enough confidence to trust that ball even tought I did not have many games bowl with it.I was 50 pins down on the match 2 game total pin fall and came back to win now that is a great feeling to see a ball carry even on a sport shot.this ball can create a lot of room for error if you are the type of bowler who look at a area and crank the ball fairly hard you will love this ball I'm more of a stroker but if I want some time I can hit it more and change my hand position and the ball those what you expect it will go longer and hit harder. When you play with hand position hand the ball does what you want you know you have a great ball.My favorite ball in my bag.

I have been pleased with Roto Grip equipment over the last six months. I was hesitant to use any pieces because I really knew nothing about them. The RSX has not been a medium to oily piece for me, but when the heads are burnt and the hold on the out side is minimal, this ball works wonders. This ball can get through any of the chopped up crap any center's lanes can deteriorate to.  Great ball.

Profile:  LEft handed power tweener

Specs:  15lb 3oz top 2-3 pin

Drilling:  pin under ring cg kicked and inch left of pin location

Lanes used on:  Mixture of wood and synthetic  all diffent conditions

Review:  I have used this nice piece on a variety of conditions.  I mainly use it for med to med heavy more on med heavy side  Havent really used much since the purchase of my second epic battle that i polished!!  This ball needs head oil to get down the lane and then has a nice strong arc type finish with above average hit and carry keeps pins very low, not quite as low as the mercury but low enough to carry majority of time.  The only time I put this ball up is when the heads break down other wise it wants to move early and loses all its energy.  But there are other balls for that.  OVer all this ball is great piece of equipment at an affordable price.  give it a solid 8 of 10.  Keep up the great pieces ROTO!!

Speed: 16-17 MPH
Revs: 350+
Axis tilt: 20-25 Deg
Axis rotation: Approx. 30 deg
Desription:
Weight (Pre-drill)  15 and change
Top weight (Pre-drill)
Pin to CG distance  3”
Surface prep  1000 Grit Polished
Drilling
Pin to PAP distance 5” Pin to grip center distance  4” from GC  Pin above bridge
Balance hole location, size, and depth. No Balance Hole                                                                           MB is next to the thumb in the strong position

Condition used was PBA TOC(50Ft) and THS(38Ft)
TOC Lane condition was synthetics(AMF).
The RSX worked really well and gave a nice flip reaction once it reached the dry. It opened up the lane a little giving me some area to play with.
THS is AMF synthetic conditions are med oil for our areas THS
This ball was very strong and was too angular at the break point with this drill on a THS for myself.

Line being played
TOC 25/ 12 @ 50-52ft                                                                                                   THS 25/5 @ 42 ft on fresh

Overall Thoughts
This ball is great for use on med to heavy oil pattern with good length as long as the surface is right. The RSX has a god skid/snap ability with a little polish and has good carry if used on the right condition.
Compared to the AMB Centaur Solid with the same drilling This ball is stronger at the break but has a little bit less control. For me it is about 3 boards stronger then the AMB.
