RST X-1
« on: February 04, 2021, 03:24:35 PM »
Professional bowlers on tour, and those that want to bowl like them, like bowling balls that offer more hook and continuous down lane motion while driving through the pins. It is this type of bowler that the Roto Grip RST X-1 hybrid reactive bowling ball was designed for. This high-performance asymmetrical ball has a core that produces consistent core torque as well as energy transfer down lane. This RST (Roto Star Tour) core is wrapped with a versatile MicroTrax Hybrid coverstock which generates ideal responsiveness on both oil and friction.

Roto Grip RST X-1 was the biggest surprise I've had in a Roto Grip ball. First I would like to say that I had the expectation that the RST would be a really strong asymmetrical ball. The very first RST that I drilled was 3 1/2x4x3 and it was a very strong early rolling ball that I have found to be great early in the set on heavy oil in the front of the lane. I have to make sure to keep a lot of surface on this layout. The 2nd RST that I drilled was 5x4x2. This payout gives me a ton of length and a completely different shape compared to the other layout. With this layout I have to have at least lane shine on the cover but I can get much deeper and let the ball go right down lane. The RST is possibly the most versatile asymmetrical ball Roto Grip has ever made. The cover takes polish and surface very well and you can lay out the ball for many different reactions. If you travel to tournaments this is a must have ball.
