Drilled this one 4" pin from PAP with mass bias inthe strong position and the extra hole 1 in inside the VAL.  Can be utlized on just about any condition other then heavy oil.  Gets threw the heads very clean and has plenty hit on the rear.  I rate this as one of the best.  If you need length and moster hit this is the ball.  It treated me well 297-300-253=850.  Would recommend this ball to all.

Purple Power is Here!

The New Roto-Grip Silver Streak Pearl, or should we say "Purple Streak" is the best of the "Rotary Core" balls to date! We loved the "Silver Streak" for those medium to dry lane conditions but the New Pearl is much better!

We label leverage our test ball with the pin at about 1:30 and the CG in the strong position with no balance hole. We found this ball to be at its best just after the first game of typical league play when you start to experience the track area of the lane drying up! Our ball floated threw the heads and made a very strong hook on the backend. This IS NOT a skid/snap ball! but more of a Strong Arching Hook style of ball. Those of you who have stronger releases will get more out of this ball than those of us who don't.

The coverstock is "Fully Adjustable" but you will want to maintain the out of box finish for the best performance overall.

The Hitting Power of this ball is excellent! No Problem here!

If you want a friendly ball with great hitting power, then this ball is for you!

We will Highly recommend this ball to all bowlers!

specs
15.12#
3.5" pin
3.14tw

drilled pin over the bridge
cg kicked out a little
no weight hole

condition fresh med house shot (top hat)
squeaky clean back ends
lined up at 22 played 15 to 6 at the break point
this ball has great push and a strong arc back to the hole
hits hard and leaves few corner pins
very forgiving if you get it wide
every so slightly over/under with clean backends 2 or 3 frames of carrydown smoothed it out though
over all a great ball for a great price
not much experience with storm/roto-grip
mostly a brunswick/columbia guy
But I really like this ball
670 out of the box with 2 opens
Great job roto-grip!!

I just had this drilled tonight. Put the pin above the fingers for length and smooth backend. The Storm guys must have been involved with this ball. I almost shot 300 right out of the box with this ball. I have never had any other ball do that before, and I have averaged over 225 for the past few years with several different types of bowling balls. I used the ball on an extreme wet front shot with moderate back end. It was a late shift condition.

This ball gets down the lane, makes an excellent turn and then watch it hit. I thought Storm balls hit hard - this one hits harder. This is the first Roto Ball I have had, and I am sure it will not be the last.

If you are looking for something to look pretty down the lane and score well with - this is the ball for you. WOW!

I received this ball last month with one condition in mind.  Dryer, deep inside on later condition on our nine game travel league.  I had a 5 inch pin and used 5 1/2 by 4 1/2 with pin above bridge.  Used small weight hole, 1" past axis.  Condition dried out to play 25 and just deeper.  Was impressed with fantastic length, with nice smooth hard arcing back-ends.  Was not hard to keep in play and tremendous hitting power from deep line.  Used hard ball speed and I am convinced this ball is a keeper!!!

Powerful Pearl with a strong angular change of direction. Strongest mid-priced pearl on the market.

Finally a ball which can compete with the Ti messenger Pearl!!

Drilled mine 5 x 4.  The ball is extremely clean through the fronts but watch out as the power gets applied. Very strong and consistent recovery. Strong hitting ball. Sucks the corners off of the deck.

Great ball to play a bank shot.

Did I mention the ball looks great too.

Great pearlized ball. This one has it all. Drilled 4 1/2 by 3 1/2 with the pin above the fingers. The ball is squeaky clean in the heads and most of the midlane, starts to roll on the back part of the mids and turns left on the back ends. Very controllable breakpoint as well as readable. One of, if not the most versatile ball I've thrown with a consistent reaction. I can open the lane up and play 30 to 5 with a great backend reaction crushing the pocket and change my release and play 15 to 5 and still get a great reaction with the same hitting power. I highly recommend this ball to anyone looking for versatility and a great reaction. Roto-Grip keep it up I am very impressed. You guys are putting out some great equipment!!

This is now my strongest backend ball in an arsenal that includes an X Factor, Retro Blue Pearl, and Erase-It.  Let me say that this may be due to the layout.  This is the first non 5+ inch pin to pap ball I have thrown in about three years.  My speed is up and I'm more consistent so I went with a 4" pin to pap with a balance hole inside my VAL to help this one out a bit.  This enables the core to rev quickly while the cover maintains its ignorant path to the first dry board it sniffs and then.....WHAM!  The hit is just under the X but the backend I GOT is much stronger.  Of course its drilled a lot stronger but still this thing is more angular and I had this one out over 20 to 1 and it came back.  The X did not.  I have thrown A TON of balls in the past few years and this one has to be one of the biggest backend balls I have put my hand in.

I posted a review about this ball before. I just want to say again, that this ball is the bomb!

I shot 300 with it tonight, with very difficult lane conditions. I was using my Storm Boost, and it just wouldn't react right - I switched to the Silver Streak, and never missed - 19 strikes in a row, with broken up heads and carry down on the backends. Even with fresh lanes, this ball still works good. For a low end resin ball, this one is exceptional.

If you are looking to experiment with something, without paying a lot, TRY THIS BALL!!!!

Original drilling did not fit my game, so I gave it to my wife.  It didn’t fit her game either.  I ran into some tough league conditions of late and I decided to redrill it, and that was one of the best things I have ever done.

New specs: 15 lb., pin about 1 ½” below my ring finger with the CG kicked out quite a bit.  I had a weight hole drilled in it to bring the side weight back to 0.  WOW!!  What a difference.  This ball makes me look like I have a gorilla hand.  It revs up very quickly, and continues to rev up through the pins.  Since I have redrilled it, I have had to pull my spare ball out only once.  This ball cured my 10 pin problem.  This is a great, great ball.  I wish I would have drilled it like this originally, I may be averaging 235+.

I've been using Roto Grip for awhile, and the equiptment is great for my game. As you see I am lefthanded, and everything doesn't work for me. This equiptment is perfect for my game. I'm a tweener with good speed and pretty good revs, not overpowering, but use the lane and condition for my benefits. I wanted a ball to go longer than my Fuel and Global Assault with good hitting power. My Pro shop operator and I came up with the Pearl Silver Streak. At first the jury was still out on this ball, because I only used it when the other equiptment and conditions started being to much. There were times it would look great and other times it didn't. The scoup on this ball was it is a nightmare on the wrong condition and this is true. I bowl in two houses. One with wood lanes and the other with synthetic lanes. Being somewhat puzzled with this ball I polished it a little more, but hadn't used it until last night in my synthetic house. God gave me notion about this ball, in the way of trying it first instead of waiting till late in the night. I glad he spoke, and I listened. I am an approximately a 172 aver. bowler( struggled this year and coming back now), and up until now my highest series was 686. Last night I shot my first 700 series 743 to be exact(234,256&253)each game of which could've been a 300. I'm learning to deal with nerves.  On the right condition this ball is a monster. Mine is the pin is about 10 o'clock label shifted and cg stacked

On the right condition I would rate this ball a 10.
May the Lord richly bless you in all that you do,

I drilled my silver streak pearl about a month ago. It is drilled 6 x 5 and has a 4" pin out. My intended usage for this ball was for it to be a ball that I can use on medium to medium-heavy conditions that don't have carrydown. My specs are in my profile if you need a good idea of how I throw the ball.

I got exactly what I was looking for. On longer oil patterns with decent volume the ball starts revving quite early but doesn't grab very early. After clearing the midlane it is revving very hard. Once it does hit the dry boards it is not long until you see a very strong move to the left. When the ball gets to the pocket there is nothing left on the deck. Light hits blow pins everywhere, flush hits generally have messengers flying. If it comes in high I'll leave a 9 pin pretty much every time.

This ball truly is a beast of a ball if you have any hand at all. Especially on the backends. I can't imagine why anyone would need one of these balls leverage drilled. That would be an unusable amount of backend it seems. But some of you all do probably throw some pretty weak fluff, so you might be ok 3 3/8 x 3 3/8.

Anyhow, all around this is a great ball. It does well on a variety of patterns from 38-43 feet as long as there is head oil and not much/if any carrydown. I haven't tried it much on carrydown, so at this point I'm not going to judge how well it will or will not handle such conditions.

Hit and carry of this ball is simply devastating. I'm quite convinced that just about anyone who sees a variety of patterns would be very happy with this ball from Roto Grip if they were to give one a try.

I've got the solid too....will post a review on it later when I actually find enough oil for that monster.

I can pretty much back up what everybody says about this ball.  This is my 4th Rotogrip ball and maybe my favorite.  I actually picked the Silver Streak solid as my ball of the season last season, and this pearl might be my new fav for the new season.  Extremely versatile, I've throw this ball down and in, swing the gutter, bank the track, and faders!  I haven't found a shot where it doesn't work!  It carries at every angle I've attempted!  And what a marvelous reaction.  If you really need something early, that's the only time I've found this ball had a little trouble, but I could still grind out some nice games on that sort of shot.

Anybody who hasn't tried one of the Silver Streaks by now REALLY needs to go out and buy one of these pearls.  You will be hooked!  I can promise you that!
