Cell layout, speed dominant
« on: March 04, 2008, 12:45:57 AM »
I want to be able to use the ball at least on a fresh house shot.  (We have a fairly heavy house shot.)  My speed overwhelms my revs, more often then not, and I like to play the track area and outside angles.  I've had a lot of success with my Kinetic, but it sometimes struggles on the fresh.  Check my profile for more info and the layouts I have on my present equipment.  Thanks!

splendorlex, this is just an opinion, but since you have more speed than revs, you may want to try a pin about 4" or a 4 1/4" from pap, above the fingers, and the mass bias kicked out to about 45-55 degrees.

a friend of mine who has decent revs, but likes to throw it hard, really likes his. and his is similar to that one.

curious to hear what others think as well. good luck with it.

splendorlex,

What is your speed? I am around 18-19 mph and med to low rev stroker. I drilled my 2ns Cell 5 x 3 and this appears to be a good match for me...

Heres what im thinking, possibly a Rico drill. You say you are looking for a ball on the fresh to tame out the pattern, and there is no better drilling for that situation. Also, you say its a heavier pattern, even better for the Cell is wicked strong, even with your fast speed and low revs.
