Rotogrip Oracle a good ball?
« on: December 03, 2007, 02:49:40 AM »
If I had a chance to get one of these NIB for around $70 would it be worth it?  Doesn't have a top w/ or pin distance listed though.  Looking to try something Roto, and may try this one because its cheaper.  I am looking for something for longer oil patterns that will clear the heads clean but read the mids and make a nice hard arc to the pocket (for a med/high rev/slow ballspeed player).  Plan on drilling it controlled with MB closer to VAL and pin probably about 4" from PAP (below Ring Finger).

Thanks

Oracle is ok the odyssey is much more diverse ball, the oracle vision is worth getting imo. I have bought pro cg odyssey for 89.00 shipped from bowlingball.com and they even have pro cg quest for 99.00 shipped.

I loved my 2 Oracles.
Shot many honor scores with them.
I'd pick it up.

The Oracle was a very good rolling ball.  But in the experience I have had, the Quest or the Odyssey the bowlingnut is talking about would be a better choice.  It would be well worth the extra 20 or 30 dollars. The Quest has worked really well for my customers that have games that are more speed dominate.

i had an oracle and i tried different drillings different surfaces different everything for it to finally let me know that with polish it was a good ball for med dry lanes. My odyssey on the other hand imho is limitless. it works in every situation any surface change any delivery change i can almost always find a shot unless the lanes are totaly fried .i have 2 one at 500 and one polished over box. It makes me look like i can bowl.
