Strike Cell
« on: January 30, 2009, 12:06:11 PM »
Is a Strike Cell the same as a Cell, but just long pin or something else? I bid on one on ebay but didn't know they are all X-Comps. I probably would not have bid knowing this.

first link after googling "Strike Cell roto grip"

http://www.rotogrip.com/products/balls/ball.asp?ballid=77

for comparison

http://www.rotogrip.com/products/balls/ball.asp?ballid=75 (normal Cell)

Strike Cell is a hybrid coverstock

The Strike Cell is a hybrid, while the Cell is a solid reactive.

No its actually a joint venture with Honda. If it was a toyota it would be called the prius cell.

This is getting completely off topic... but because people brought up cars...

Wouldn't "Fuel Cell" be a great homage to a Roto classic?

Are overseas ball always X-Comps? That's what a guy has told me. That doesn't sound right.

No thats not true. Overseas balls are often unnecessary ball releases. There is usually a new ball or two from every company every month.
