Need Help w/layout of RotoGrip Uproar
« on: July 01, 2014, 06:59:14 PM »
Based on the layout of this Uproar, what is the ball suppose to do on the lane ?

My PAP coordinates are Over 5 7/16  and UP  1 5/8.

The ball goes long, appears that it will hit the 1-3 pocket but doesn't.  It actually overhooks (crosses over) no matter how far right I throw it.

depends on your PAP.

If you base the layout off some of the more common PAP calculations, you're looking at a ball that will have length and good backend movement

If that's what's happening, I'd suggest you are seeing one hell of a lot of dry!! I'd suggest a lot weaker ball or moving about 10 boards deeper with your feet.

That would be a Motion hole layout for my PAP coordinates.  You don't have a Motion hole in it do you?  My Uproar is very continuous when it sees friction.  I'd work on the cover to calm it down if it's OOB still.  A slight 4000 scuff would help.

Hi Scott,

The ball does not have a motion hole.  Should I have one drilled into it ?

I've tried adjusting the cover but that didn't help.

Hell NO!  That will make it even react harder off the backend.  And with your PAP you'd use a different Motion hole layout.  Correct one for you is pin next to ring and CG mid grip.  I Motion hole use Pin over ring and CG mid grip as I am right at 5" over and 0.  See http://radicalbowling.com/uploads/downloads/radical-layouts.pdf

amyers2002,

My release ballspeed is between 15.9 and 17.  My rev rate is between 250 and 270.

John with that amount of revs and speed I don't see why you would be having to much of a problem are your lanes really dry?
