First off, I want to thank JohnP, a member on here for punching my Rogue up. Great guy.

In all honesty, this is the 2nd Roto-grip ball I have ever drilled and thrown. I had a cell pearl, and it was way too over/under.

The Rogue Cell is SOMETHING ELSE. There are NO words to describe this ball. There are no amounts of words to describe this ball.
If you gave me a 15 page essay on this ball, there is no way I could everything I have to say about it on 15 pages.

As long as you get this ball right (im a righty) of the headpin and left of the gutter SOMEWHERE down lane, it got to the pocket. That is sick. BUT, that is only half of what gets me. It f--king carries the world. It never missed the pocket, and when it hit te pocket, it carried 95%-99% of the time.
I personally am a ball whore. I have thrown hundereds of bowling balls. I have never seen anything like this before.

It OUTHOOKS my Virtual Gravity.
It OUTHOOKS my 2nd Dimension.
It OUTHOOKS any ball I have EVER thrown.
And yet it SLIDES FURTHER than my plastic  ball.

I know nobody will understand this. It is hands down most VERSATILE ball I have ver thrown. EVER.
A buddy of mine, who averages around 220-230, said "It makes me feel like im cheating..." He threw my ball in his work clothes and sneakers, and shot 279, 290, 233. He then went home and ordered one offline.

After getting it drilled, I came back to the lanes where I used to work and shot 3 games with it. First game starts off with front 7, a few spares here and there, 265 first game. Second game, start off with front 5, a few spare here and there, 229.
After looking and that scores I realized that I was bowling fast, not really consentrating, and just chucking the ball. And I still went 265-229. So I figured I could really do something if I consentrate.
Next game, I slow down, focus and *aim*. I then shoot next 11 in a row, and ring a 10 pin on the last shot...299.

Prolly less than 10 games OOB, and it has already secured the spot as my "go-to" ball.
I have never voted for a ball of the year, and I know it is early 2009. But I think this ball is something every competitive bowler should consider.
If you want something that is more versatile than you could dream of, this is it.

Well like I said, I could go on for more 15 pages about this ball(and I dont even have 10 games on it). This ball is truly something special, something that I have yet to come across in the 10 1/2 years ive bowled.

There have been good balls, great balls, and even amazing balls. If I HAD to describe one word, it would be "perfect".

Here is a pic of mine...

Roto-Grip, I think you killed yourself. You made a ball that makes it unnessesary to buy any other ball.

Thank you for reading(or skimming),
Chrispy

Sounds like one terrible ball you got there
Feel like getting it off your shoulders and shipping it my way?

yours drilled exactly like mine.  And I have to agree with 100% of what you said.  I was shocked at the length of the ball nothing even close to what I expected.  But it knows how to turn the corner & it carried alot of shots that maybe it shouldn't have in my hands.

I only hope that I can get mine figured out a little better so it will become my go-to ball.

Cheers!

So in the 10 games or less that you have used it, what patterns have you played on to determine its the best and most versatile ball

He's thrown it on the THS, China, Wall-e-world, and the Mega cliff patterns.

This site never ceases to amaze me...

In all honesty, I'd have to agree. NO BALL is going to do that without the help of the THS or wall shot (except, of course ANY lane#1 ball)

Sorry, it is what it is.

What make a ball great is it's ability to handle a lot of different lane conditions and still carry.

I have seen this ball in action and it does not slide like plastic. A guy who we bowled, had it in box finish, could not keep it on the right side of the headpin. This was a lighter league pattern than normal. As far as hook and carry, that will tame down once oil gets into the cover. 90% of all bowling balls I buy do tame down. The Rogue Cell looks like it will hook. This is not a put down. I buy about 30 balls a year, and also maintain and clean religously. Also, it will not out hook a Virtual Gravity !

And I quote..."I know nobody will understand this".

I prove my point after reading a few people on here saying the shot is wall o china, etc. Trust me, I know wall o china, and this shot is not it. It is a house shot, but it is considered one of the toughest house shots in KY. For those of you from Ky, Im talking about Lyndon Lanes. Highest ave in the house is 199 or so. High seriest is 846, with less than 5 300's shot there. The shot is absolute hell.

I would be more than happy to invite all the bashers on this thread to come and average better than 170 on the shot. Ill even pay for your games if you average over 170 for 5 games. In my opinion, it playes like a mutilated reverse block. The house is known for being tough. The pattern is very spotty IMO, it plays considerably tight.

I know Daniel Farish, Dug Barker, Joey Cecil, Kevin Kerstein, and a few other local bowlers from KY that HAVE bowled on this shot. I will ask them tonight to speak up on here for me.

Also, for thirtyclean, how is his layed out? Mine is prolly different, and that could be a good reason why. Just saying.

To some of the others, I will get my specs on here tonight for you. Sorry, but Im kinda in a rush to get to league

I will say this, there are some balls on the market that are more forgiving on tougher patterns.  Some balls just seem to create miss area.  The Rouge Cell may be one of those bowling balls.

I'm lucky in that I get a chance to bowl on tough lane patterns every week.  I've bought and sold a ton of bowling balls the last 6 seasons.  I wouls say about 20 percent of the equipment i've bought, worked really well on the tough patterns while the others were garbage.

I am one of the few that never bought the Cell.  Well after seeing the success of the Cell on so many different conditions i've decided to break down and buy the Cell, Rouge Cell and Cell pearl.  I'm picking these up in 2 weeks.

What i'm trying to get at is this.  The Cell was a proving ball on tough patterns.  I don't doubt one min. that the Rouge Cell is going to be another winner on the tough patterns.

CB do you think this ball can take to cover changes really well?

Not only would I love to take you up on that bet but Id also be willing to put money on me not only averaging 170 but doing it with a house ball. The only issue is the fact that I live 2000 miles away.

If you got a Rogue Cell to "skid like plastic" then you, your ball driller, or somebody else did something wrong. What I'm confused about is the fact that "it skids like plastic" yet it still "out hooks a Virtual Gravity". That alone is enough for me to NEVER read anything you have to say. Reason being is you are clueless.

You DID bowl on house China, and the lanes ARE dead easy. The only thing you got right in your rant was that the Rogue Cell is a good ball.

For the record, Lyndon Lanes IS the single most difficult, screwed up, difficult house shot I've ever seen.  I know people who have brought old rubber balls out from their basement just to try to find a decent look at the pocket there.  Yes Chris is exaggerating in his post, but the shot he's used the ball on at Lyndon is for all intents and purposes a sport shot.  Therefore, your entire point is off base.

(And Jellsey, I see that you still act like a complete and total prick whenever you call someone out -- you DO know you can be civil and still get your point across, right?)
