Nomad Solid!
« on: July 18, 2009, 02:02:26 PM »
I drilled two Nomad solid's yesterday and used them today in a tournament. Will give more detail when I can use them on several different conditions. I drilled one pin up with a 11/2" pin buffer and 33/8" pin to pap, the other is pin down in a modified Rev Leverage drilling pin 33/8" from pap. They both covered more boards than a Hybrid Cell I went to when these were just to strong and it's pin above middle finger with mb 3" right of thumb. I was standing 30 with my feet and the ball was going out to 7 at the breakpoint about 40'. I'm totally amazed with the amount of boards these were covering and I may have to get my real estate license if they keep covering this amount of boards!lol
More to come later with pictures of layouts! Thanks for reading and considering using the King of Them All, Roto Grip! Bruce

Let us know more as you use them, especially on what kinds of conditions they seem to work best on.  That one that you have pin-up is exactly the layout I'd be interested in putting on one, and this ball is definitely on my maybe list for a new ball for Fall league.  With that layout and the 1 1/2 pin buffer, was it pretty angular on the back?  The ball really looks good, hope it's a winner!

Yes, the pin up Nomad is very angular! I tried to use it tonight in league and I was standing 30 crossing 18 at the arrows and hitting 8 at the range finder (pro anvil lanes)and if I wasn't firm with ball speed it was thru the nose. I put it up and used my pin up Rogue Cell with the mb under my thumb. I stripped the lanes today and the backend's were very crisp. I was standing further left than a guy on the other team using a B/W Venom. The Nomad is going to be a big hit and it's going to surprise a lot of people with it's strength down lane! Thanks for reading my post and considering Roto Grip, Bruce
