I have been throwing my Cell Pearl pretty regularly the last month and it has made me think. Which one do you like more? I like the Pearl better but by a very slim margin. So which one is the better ball in your opinion?

The original was better for me. I could use it on just about anything but bone dry. The Cell Pearl was very sensitive to oil making it condition specific for me and not even one of my go to balls.

hey BrandonR, how is your cell pearl drilled? i am looking to compliment my sauce, which is 4 1/2" x 70*, pin down. was looking at a cell pearl, and go with 4 3/4" x 75*, pin down and maybe 2k abralon w/ a tad bit of polish. curious as to what some think. thanks.

I think you guys think too much. Drill the ball however you think it needs to be drilled (cuz I know none of you would ever set foot in a pro shop and ask somebody elses opinion that might actually know), adjust the surface accordingly AFTER it's drilled.
Can you honestly tell me you would see a difference in a ball wit a 4 1/2" pin compared to a 4 3/4" pin? Or a 60* mass bias as opposed to a 70* mass bias?

actually o smart 1, i do go into pro shops and ask. and i also mess with surface changes. but i also like to hear from others who have thrown the balls as well. not all pro shop people drill every single ball that comes out.
and funny you should mention pro shops, because i know a few guys who have shops & are very knowledgeable, and they also ask others on drillings, for their own nuggets.
sometimes people just like to hear different ideas and such before they punch a ball up. them and myself included are just trying to learn. isn't that what this forum is for?
