Title: Differences between the Rogue Cell and Hy-Road
Post by: tommyboy74 on June 04, 2012, 05:22:57 PM
Ok guys, I have a Hy-Road, and it does have its place in the arsenal.  However, I always wondered what the differences between the Rogue Cell and the Hy-Road hybrids were.  For those who have thrown both, what did you like and dislike about either ball?

At box finish there is a fairly large difference between the Rogue Cell (4000 Abralon) and the Hyroad (1500 polish).  Add in a lower RG and higher friction cover the Rogue Cell is much earlier and overall stronger.  Even when I changed my Hyroad to 4000 Abralon it really still doesn't close the gap it just smoothes out the Hyroad's reaction.

Thanks.  I ended up buying my Hy-Road used at a good price, and slotted it between my 919C and Vital Energy.  So far, when I have used it, it will work for its purpose and have shot some good games with it.  It seems to be a little more condition specific (similar to the Anarchy I had where I could barely use it).

Since it's the summer, I'm going to experiment with the surface and see if I can really get the Hy-Road to come alive.
