Title: Drilling suggestion for Super Sonic
Post by: jjweb on January 21, 2005, 07:52:34 AM
I was wondering if I could get some suggestions on drilling my Super Sonic. I want length and a strong backend movement. I know it won't flip, but a hard arc would be nice.

I was thinking 4 X 4 or 5 X 4? I do however have problems with the pin being directly over the fingers (will hit either finger or thumb hole).

Stats are in profile.

Balls specs:
15lb 3oz
2.5"-3.5" pin

Thanks!

I ended up drilling it pin next to ring, CG 1/2" past ring. Haven't throwned it yet, but I'll have a chance in league tomorrow.

jjweb,

I have mine punched over the label pin a little higher than the ring finger but not over it. MB in the A position.  Helluva a ball and a whole lotta length...although this is supposed to be and entry level ball, it makes one heck of a turn.  I can send u a pic of mine if you want it, lemme know.

JJ,
depends on your speed....you can do what BMM did, or you can do a 4x4 or 4x3 OR...do a 4 1/2 x 3 1/2 and put the pin next to and just above the ring....

you WON'T be dissapointed !!!
