The TNT from Roto Grip is the latest benchmark ball to fill the bag. Smooth and controllable are the key words with this baseline bowling ball. The TNT is designed to be cleaner than the Idol although when comparing the 2 we saw the Idol get down the lane much easier and continue harder. This could be due to the lane shine and wear of the Idol. If comparing 2 fresh covers we may see the difference of the Idol picking up sooner.
The TNT reads very early and will be good for when controlling the pocket is key. Medium to heavy oil, cliffed conditions and taking on shorter patterns the TNT will be an excellent option to have in your bag.

The Roto Grip TnT features the eTrax PLUS Solid cover, Torpex Core, and comes with a 2000-grit surface. This ball was cleaner through the fronts than I was expecting with plenty of pop down lane. Compared to the Gem, it is a good step down but for me, the shapes are similar. I could see myself switching to the TnT when the Gem is too much for the lane. Compared to the Phaze2, the TnT is longer and has more pop down lane. I have the Phaze2 earlier and a rounder shape compared to the TnT. When you are needing a stronger cover but still need the ball to get down the lane, this is going to be a great choice. Another amazing release from Roto Grip!
