FIGJAM (Cell)
« on: January 30, 2008, 11:44:48 AM »
Monday night on Scorpion I took my Cell down to 1000 grit.  It rolled fine but I didn't really bowl well.

Tonight for league on a THS I was going to take it back up to 2000 but I forgot.  I got there late and only had 3 warm-up shots.  Started with a 257.  Second game I went stone 7/, double, 10 pin/, and the last 8 for 269.  Last game was 300 for my first 800 with an 826.  The read and reaction this ball gave me is absolutely incredible.  It was strong yet predictable all night long.  I can't say enough about the ball even though I've had it only a short time.  I'm sure I sold quite a few to local guys tonight also.  Are you listening Mr. Noordhoek? j/k

Nice 20-bagger to finish. Oops, sorry - I meant to say, "nice five-ham-boner to finish!"

Mine is polished over box which is 2k, i play between 8-12 out to 3-4 board and back. Not much of swing but for me this ball likes to sent out somewhat, it tends to carry better with this approach.

Congrats Don on the 826!  That's some nice shooting.

No 800's for me yet, but I've only thrown it on 2 nights so far, 706 and last week 748(with 3 single pin misses, should have been about 780 ).  Tuesday is league again, can't wait to see what I can come up with this week!

This ball is an absolute monster ! I am going to tweek the cover because our
local THS does not have enough oil. I guy I was bowling next to with a Widow
bite was mad because he just bought it and if he would have seen what it was
doing on my lane (in practice), he would have chose the Cell. Great job
Roto R and D !

I probably should have mentioned that I polished mine as well when I shot the 706, 748...our volume of oil is pretty thin and breaks down quickly on the brunswick pro anvilane synthetics.  I should also mention that the ball has made me almost 3x what I paid for it in our brackets on Tuesday night.
