Gem-Surface Changes?
« on: June 08, 2022, 03:58:46 PM »
Anyone change the surface to tame this down? If so what surface do you recommend? This is a good bit stronger than I anticipated. :) A good zone stronger than my Axiom.

Stronger than the Axiom makes sense.

Gem may have the quickest revving core on the market + MicroTrax just wants to dig

NEX/XtremeTrax seems to be a little more versatile and not as early as MicroTrax

SVstar34 I forgot to mention I throw 16, so the Axiom #s are close. Both are 2.47 for rg, diff is only 3 pts at .051 vs .048 for Axiom. Cover is the difference. May take it to 3000 have not decided yet...

There's also the Gem being asymmetrical with a .016 int diff to start and it most likely increased even more after drilling.

I'm a believer in core shape also makes a difference based on my experiences
