Title: God the Mystic is sweet.
Post by: Fluff E Bunnie on December 09, 2007, 10:39:56 PM

I have used this ball since probably the beginning of summer season?  This has become my favorite ball by far on my THS league and PBA league (except for Special Agent) and it keeps getting better and better.

I would write a glowing review of this ball but probably everyone would whine.

So I'll just say it here: This ball is freaking awesome.

Fluff I love the ball. I have one and I take the shine of it. It gives me a better reaction. Between that, The Neptune, and The Horizon, I am real happy with my pearlized equipment. I am suprised more people do not throw Roto Grip.

Mystic for sure is a damned good ball. I love mine. So smooth and easily-readable yet sharp and can carry the world.

That's what I was going to say but I didn't know how to say it.  It revs up really nicely going down the lane and makes that smooth(?) but sharp(?) motion through the pins.  I don't get how smooth and sharp go together but that's the only way I can describe it.  Maybe smooth at the break but driving hard left through the pins?  I also get noticeable better carry with this thing.  I threw it in the Open House and it was so awesome I kind of looked around to see if anyone else was seeing what I was seeing.  It was a "oh ****!" kind of reaction.

I want to save up some money and get at least another backup.

I picked up my Mystic about 4 weeks ago and have to 2nd all your comments.

I have the ball drilled with the pin above the bridge and the CG below the ring with no X hole.

I wasn't quite sure this layout would work for me as my speed and rev rate don't always match up well with the equipment I've gotten, but so far the ball has been fantastic! Nice length with that strong movement to the pocket as it comes out of the oil.

I've been struggling a bit this year but in the 4 weeks I've had this ball, I've been able to raise my average 11 pins. Half way through the season and my average is finally back up to my last years book, lol.  We'll have to see if I can continue that upward movement during the 2nd half.

It's a great ball, I drilled mine, 80-4.75 - 40 and it is great on medium to dry. I want to drill another that isn't set up so long. It is my favorte ball.

I was lucky enough to shoot 825 with mine on Monday. 267,279,279.  Love this ball.  Seems to recover from almost any angle I throw at it.

Man O man.... that's some awesome shooting guys!! Great honor scores!

I don't have any of those testimonies yet. I threw my Mystic for the first time at USBC, Reno, last June. I was pleasantly surprised. I was able to use it the whole tourny, and scored extremely well with it. When the lanes finally tracked up, and began to open up.....this thing carried from everywhere!

I ended up cashing in the tourny and in brackets, and we placed 323rd in doubles, overall.

I am still experimenting with, the when and where to use it at my various different houses I bowl. So far so good, though.

I sanded mine to 2000 and it is still long and grabs a little bit more if there is carry down at all. This vid shows me bowling after leagues andopen play.
