Jekyll vs. Silver Streak Pearl
« on: May 13, 2003, 04:06:46 PM »
Well I tested a Jekyll vs. the Silver Streak Pearl (SSP) yesterday.

Bothe balls are drilled similarly.  Except that the pin on the Jekyll is below the bridge and the SSP is above the bridge.  CG's were both kicked right and no weight holes.

Tested on a fresh shot with some carry down.  The Jekyll seems to rev up faster and is a little earlier getting into it's roll but only by a foot or two.  The SSP is a little more angular into the pocket.

After playing several lines 1st through 4th arrow and all the way from 3 board to 12 board at the breakpoint.  I would say that the SSP is stronger by about 1 1/2 to 2 boards by that I mean I stand that many boards left on the approach.

The SSP seem to hold an inside line much better than the Jekyll and was more forgiving.  The Jekyll recovered better when sent wide.

Both balls HIT the pocket extremely well and has a equal sound and both carry the off hits well.  The SSP seemd to carry lights hits better and the Jekyll carried the high hits better.

I will be comparing the Silver Streak with the SSP in about a week and will update later.
