Well another one of my Roto Grip balls cracks
« on: July 31, 2008, 02:53:18 PM »
This time my Pluto, and it was quickly becoming one of my favorite balls. I took it from inside my house, brought it to league and when I grab it from my bag it's got a 4-5" crack under the thumb. This is my second Roto Grip ball that cracked this year...

At least it should be covered. Look at it this way. You get a new ball this way.

Wow that stinks, I have heard of a lot of rotogrip stuff cracking in the past couple months. Guess they might be having some cover stock issues.

And if I were a proud Roto Grip Member, I would get on the Brunswick section and say the same thing... Oh wait, I haven't seen a Brunswick bowling ball in my proshop for months...

I've sold quite a few Roto Grip balls over the summer and haven't had problems with any of them...

Wow, thats classy, someone from brunswick staff talking about Roto Balls cracking.  I have thrown Roto for about 6 years and have NEVER had a Roto Ball crack!
Joe Jr.  Where were your balls stored.  I have heard of bowling balls (all brands) cracking when they are exposed to either heat or cold, or humidity.  Even closets are not the best place to store them. Just a thought.  Im sure if you take your pluto back to the pro shop you bought it at it should be able to be replaced.  if not contact Roto Grip, they are really easy to deal with.

Wow, so just cause I make an observation you accuse me of bashing, where as all i said was I have see a couple of their balls crack in the past months, I didnt say the balls where bad, they all actualy roll good. Maybe you shouldnt be so quick to point a finger. All i did was make an observation. Iguess since I have a staff member writtne in my profile everything i say from now on has to be in a brunswick forum...never would have guessed that was part of my contract.

First you said alot, now you said a couple.  next you will say its only one...what is it???

talk about quick to point the finger? "must have coverstock issues"

You really aren't helping Brunswick by talking bad about other companies. If your such a "proud Brunswick Staff member" you should think about what you say.

Ok well lets see, I counted 8 in a 30 mile radius, so if thats alot or a couple you can make the decision. Second of all I didnt say their product is no good, I made an unbias statement. Espicaly when I say "I guess they MIGHT be havin some coverstock issues." If i wanted to point fingers i would have not used the word might or guess, i would have just said there product is no good. I guess from now on i will just not post anyting that doesnt have to do with brunswick, if i am going to take unfair critiscm from everyone else, because they dont seem to know the difference between an unbias observation and accusatory statement.

sure i promise that if you guys cant accept the fact that I was just making an observation, and that since i am a bruns staffer that everything i say about another company has to be slander, then Im not going to bother having to defend every comment i make outside of a post that involves brunswick. Simply put, Im not going to waste my time with people that cant see past there egos just because I happened to say something that i actualy saw, and decided to comment on a forum which last time i checked, is wat everyone does.
