How are you drilling your sonic compared to other RG's
« on: April 08, 2004, 01:22:33 AM »
I currently have the SSP(sorry to hear the particle is being discontinued) and I totally love this ball it's drilled pin above ring cg 1 inch positive weight hole on pap(my ball drillers suggestion after watching me bowl league).  I picked up the Apoc and the sonic boom (another great deal from buddies) but I have no idea how to drill these two in comparison to the SSP, I track high, right next to the thumbhole, average speed around 17 mph and I just wanted to know how you guys and girls are drilling your Sonics and Pocs in comparison to your other stuff.

Thanks

SB rolling RG for life!!!

I have the SSP, X Pearl, and the Boom. I also have a high track, with high revs and above average speed. I drilled the SSP pin above the ring finger and the CG kicked out a bit under my ring finger. I drilled my X Pearl pin above ring and CG stacked below. The SSP makes a harder move compared to the X and gets through the mid's better. The X Pearl get's through the heads very easily, but makes a earlier move with a much more controllable backend reaction. Both are great balls.

I drilled my Boom with the pin right of my ring finger and stacked the CG, a leverage drilling. It burned up way to early for me and kind of died on the backend. I recently dropped it off to be redrilled, similar to my X Pearl.
