Rush and Top Fuel?
« on: April 03, 2006, 07:09:24 AM »
How would these compare to the current balls (RS series, Oracle Vision, Saturn)?  I'm looking for a smoooooth ball.  There is a Rush and a Top Fuel on ebay and I haven't really seen those.  The Rush seems like it can be pretty smooth (low RG solid resin) with the right surface and drill prep.

The Rush is soooo smoooooth that I put the pin above the center of the bridge and stacked the CG below, polished it to about 2000-2500 grit and still couldn't get anything resembling a flip motion. It may not be possible to get this ball to flip under any circustances.

thThe rush is a very smooth early ball, but the cover seems to be very picky, when it gets used up it seems to go blah. Almost like the box finish is so hard to get back.

i'd avoid the top fuel unless by smooth you mean no hook or hit

Chrlest, I drilled a Rush for my brother, and then he polished it... he gives it some right welly, and get a good bit of "almost flip" out of it, but it still looks smooth!

i love my Rush too - it's left in box condition, and really evens the lane out when I'm a little stuck.  I actually find my Rush and RSP compliment eachother really well...

I've had mine buried for quite a while. I may dig it out and see how it behaves these days. Will probably re-drill it, as many houses have heavier oil than when I last used mine.

I hadn't been seeing enough oil to use my Rush until recently.  It's so smooth -- I'd forgotten how nice it rolls!!  Mine's drilled 4x3 and dulled up a bit.

Achappy,
Me and Ron have one. Mine drilled label and his rico. Both hook a lot, but they are really smooth off the break point, but when they start rolling they ROLL!! I'm glad to see you gaining interest in roto, maybe you'll get on staff.

In all my lightness,
