Threw my critical theory yesterday. It was indeed strong but a little too much. It seems to roll to early for me. I was throwing this ball on a medium-heavy with fresh backends. If I played inside the oil line, it would kick too early. If I threw it out to the right, it would enter he picked too sharp because it picked up too early and continued the motion. This is the strongest ball I've ever thrown and I'm not sure how to use it yet. When I did hit the pocket, it entered too sharply and left a lot of ugly splits. I want to polish it but I'm worried it will skid to far. Do I have to worry about that with this ball?

Instead of polishing... Change the underlying grits. I think it is 500/4000. Try going 500/1000/2000/4000......

I agree here.  Adding polish is only going to make the ball more skid/flip.  By taking the ball up to 3000 abralon or even 4000, it will help the ball to get down the lane better than the 500/4000 and yet with no polish, it will make the ball still want to read the lane better without skidding too far and being too jumpy of the dry.

...Or leave it as it for when you face a heavier shot.  No sense changing it for a condition that you seem to already have covered with other equipment.

None of my equipment can corner the way I need like my critical theory and wrecker. But my wrecker is mostly for lighter volumes. I will adjust the surface and post the results.

On one thought, maybe I should look into something to blend the pattern out. I think I will just wait until my friend gets his disturbed. Because he is sorta a ball whore and will probably sell his IQ Tour solid to me.

Update:
Threw critical theory yesterday with a new surface, now I love it! The polish wasn't too much. The 4000 was overkill. I had to play 38 and 3( seriously) in order to get a decent look. Now I am able to just worry about throwing the ball and watch it roll over my targets. Now I just need to figure out where to play in the third game. It's too strong by then and haven't had a good look lately during this sequence. Maybe my hy-road was the answer but I chose my frantic/ wrecker. Nearly perfect on the left side. Right lane, not so much. Actually,I think the hy-road would have worked considering I dulled the surface to reduce the flip.
