HUSTLE - Ink and PBR
« on: December 07, 2020, 04:20:38 PM »
The INk is my most consistent rolling ball and my go to  when my stronger stuff don’t match up.  Ink is used on the drier conditions and spare ball.  Question is there room below the Halo Pearl, White Hot Badger and above the Ink for the PBR in your bag.

Could PBR replace my WHB?

Everything I've seen has said the PBR is the strongest Hustle released. I think even Francois was just throwing it on tv recently.

If you went with a stronger layout and 1000 or 2000 surface instead of the box 3000 on the PBR, it should be a good pairing with the Ink.

PBR vs White Hot is a little different, I don't know if it'd be a replacement unless you saw no need for the WHB

The PBR is way stronger than the Ink and is a dull ball versus the shinny Ink. I have slow speed and out of box I could not control so I changed to 2000 grit and then Brunswick 5000 compound. These two balls are night and day apart

Hustle pbr is probably the current day replacement for like a winner solid, since there isn't one in the line up.

Makes sense that they juiced the cover a bit too.
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid
Coming soon...???

The Hustle RAP is no slouch of a ball either...it's a pearl like the WHB while the PBR is a solid that is deceptively strong and early-ish for the price point.

If I hit my INK with a 500 pad then a 3000, would my ball reaction be similar/same as the PBR?

I don't think so, it is not the same cover stock

The PBR being a solid and the White Hot being a pearl, there is a big difference in reaction on the lane.  You have say an HP1 vs an HP3 (Global equivalent, IMO).
Not to say they could possibly be a good 1-2 punch.  I believe there's too much space between the PBR and the White Hot for the PBR to be a replacement for the White Hot.
