Title: Hyped Pearl or Hyroad Pearl
Post by: Rileybowler on November 25, 2021, 08:47:53 PM
I am in the market for a pearl that is a little stronger than the Hustle line and I have kind of narrowed it down between the Roto Grip Hyped Pearl or the Storm Hyroad Pearl which of these 2 is the stronger of the 2 with a little more pop on the rear, Thanks in advance for your insight.

Haven't seen them directly compared, but as a few more of the Hyped Pearls pop up they look fairly strong and really quick down lane, I think they might be a little more overall that a Hy-Road Pearl just based on when i've seen people use them vs the Hy-Road Pearl (really a transition/late in block ball on most things now-a-days).

I've never seen them compared.
According to Storm's website the Hy-Road Pear is med-high flaring and the Hyped Pearl is med flaring. The core in the Hy-Road Pearl is stronger.

Maybe take a look at a little bigger step up like the new 900 Global Wolverine.

Good choice,

The hyped has the same cover as the hustles so you might see some overlap there.

Many used to say the wreckers gave the hp3 line a run for their money so I think they're trying to weaken the hp2 line a bit this time.

I think you'll be able to play more parts of the lane with the hyroad pearl, and for me the core is more responsive to hand positions and changes. Can't go wrong with anything in the road line.
