With that core, I don't see different layouts changing much, the surface is where it's going to be with that ball. At box, my 5 1/4 pin and 4 pin don't act terribly different, but I went to 2000 on the 4 pin and that made a pretty big difference, though surface alterations should make much bigger differences than layouts to begin with, BUT layouts matter progressively less and less as the balls get weaker. Just put your favorite layout on it and play with the surface until it acts like you want it to.
Going weaker on the pin does reduce the flare though, and that will slow it down a tad. My 5 1/4 is a bit smoother than my 4. Going with a stronger pin on a weaker ball really will just increase the backend move because the cover isn't strong enough for the extra flare to help it get going much earlier, it's just going to flare more and respond quicker on the backend.
