I've never tried the Nucleus core and would love to. But after the Code Red let down, I'm a bit scared the Hyper Cell Fused would be like doing the Code Red process all over again.
Current Rotation:
PhysiX
Code X
Code Black
Axiom Pearl
Phaze III
Trend

I wouldn't worry about that. Code Red is strong core paired with weaker cover. I don't think there's any reason not to expect the cover on the Fused to be stronger than R2S

Alonzo, you have NOTHING to worry about; It’s by far one of the most consistent, yet versatile balls that Storm/Roto has ever come out with it.   Rarely a letdown with any ball with this a core , and I’ve a ton of Cells throughout the line.

I've had two original Cells and loved them both with that cover combo. Bought the Hyper-Cell skid with huge anticipation, only to be let down because, for me, it was a ten-pin magnet!

I could hit the pocket at almost any angle, and still continuously leave a ten-pin! And they were always ringing tens! So for me, the cover just did not afford the ball the proper chance to slow down and take out the ten pin.

I will be watching this newer version in earnest to see how it does in others hands.

Did you try sanding it to get it to slow down?

The Skid wasn't great for me either, I figured my pin-pap was too long. Gave it to a buddy and he loved it enough to get another
