Title: Hyper Cell Polished
Post by: Blueprint on February 18, 2014, 08:43:51 PM
Has anyone polished a hyper cell? I drilled one and I love the reaction of it. Just wondering how it reacts to being polished. May drill another one and polish it.

Just a guess, but it probably goes longer with more backend.  ;D

Understanding reactions to change in surface I would have to say that is correct. However, I was wondering if anyone has polished a hyper cell and did or didn't like it in a polished state.

Bowled against a big-handed guy who was using a polished Hyper-Cell this morning. I almost freaked out when I saw this. He went X, 9/, X, X, split-big four.

Immediately pulled out a bottle of cleaner and some polish trying to get his original surface back. Eventually he just gave up and switched balls.

I believe you can use the Hyper-Cell polished, only if you are a fluffer, with very little hand. Other wise you tear up the pattern wayyy too fast, and constantly struggle to hold pocket. Just my two cents.
